    Sword Saint- Role: DPS

    Description:
    Is a job from Final Fantasy Tactics. My idea for implementation would have this job being a DPS that concentrates the elements into their swords to perform elemental weaponskills and in later levels it can perform magic bursts after weaponskills.

    Weapons: Two Hands a Single Sword
    Armor: Heavy armor in all slots but the body which is cloth.

    Traits:
    8.Bestowed Blight Anytime an elemental blade is used twice in succession. A blight debuff is added as an additional effect. The effect depends on what blades were used.
    14.Enhanced Intelligence Increases intelligence by 2
    16.Enhance Dual Blade: Increases chance of dual blade additional effect activating by 10%
    20.Enhanced Blight: Increases the chance of blight effects to proc.
    24.Enhanced Intelligence II: Increases intelligence by 4.
    28.Enhanced Blades: Decreases the cost of tier 1 weaponskill by 20.
    30.Enhanced Blessed MightConcentrates elements into your blades Increases blade magic damage by 10%.
    34.Enhance Intelligence III: Increases intelligence by 6.
    38.Enhanced Faith: Increases the duration of the faith line of spells by 3 seconds.
    42.Enhance Blades II: Increases the potency of tier 1 elemental blades by 20.
    46.Enhanced Dark Sword: Increases the amount of mp restored to 500.
    50.Enhanced Divine Authority: Increases the mp gained to %20 while lowering the hp penalty to %10.


    Abilities:

    Tier 1 weaponskill:Elemental Blades
    1 Blade Of Storms: Weaponskill:-Delivers a lightning attack with a potency of 150
    2.Blade Of Minerals Weaponskill:-Delivers a earth attack with a potency of 150
    3.Blade Of Inferno Weaponskill:-Delivers a fire attack with a potency of 150
    4.Blade Of Hailstones: Weaponskil:-Delivers a ice attack with a potency of 150
    6.Blade Of Torrents: Weaponskill:-Delivers a water attack with a potency of 150
    8.Blade Of Whirlwinds: Weaponskill:-Delivers a wind attack with a potency of 150


    Tier 1 spells: Blight Spells
    8.Blight Added effect Debuff cast depends on last 2 elemental weaponskills used in succession.
    Storms combo= Additional effect: Blind
    Minerals combo= Additional effect: Dispel
    Inferno Combo= Additional effect: Slow
    Hailstone combo= Additional effect: Bind
    Torrent combo= Additional effect: Sleep
    Whirlwhind combo= Additional effect: Heavy


    9.Dual Blade ability Small chance next blade weaponskill does 2x damage.
    10.Blessed Might Ability Concentrates elements into your blade Increases magical attack damage by 5%.
    12.Lightning Bolt Weaponskill: Delivers a ranged attack with a potency of 120,does not rely/adhere to GCD.

    Tier 2 Weaponskill: Elemental Blades
    14.Volcanic Blast: Weaponskill- Delivers a earth/fire attack with potency of 170. Can only be used after mineral/inferno combo.
    16.Stasis Sword:Weaponskill- Delivers a ice/water attack with a potency of 160. Additional Effect: Stun Can only be used after hailstone/torrents combo.
    18.Lightning Stab: Weaponskill- Delivers a lightning/wind attack with a potency of 170. Can only be used after storm/whirlwind combo.


    Tier 2 spells: Faith spells: Can only be used after initiating a tier 1 weaponskill combo.
    20.The Grail spell- Grants regen to yourself and nearby party members for 5 seconds. Can only be used after torrents combo.
    22.Invoke spell- Grants MP regen to yourself and nearby party members for 5 seconds. Can only be used after whirlwind combo.
    24.Enlighten spell- Grants Accuracy +10% to yourself and nearby party members for 5 seconds. Can only be used after storms combo.
    26.Gaia's Bosom spell- Grants -10 Physical damage taken to yourself and party members for 5 seconds. Can only be used after mineral combo.
    28.Burning Circle spell- Creates a circle of fire, all enemies who enter take damage over time for 10 seconds Potency 100. Can only be used after inferno combo.
    30.Ice Veil spell- Grants -10 magical damage taken for yourself and party members for 5 seconds. Can only be used after hailstone combo.


    30.Divine Authority Ability
    Increases maximum mp by 15% while decreasing HP by 15% for the duration of Authority.Also increases damage of crits by 5%.
    Elemental blades used while under the effect of Authority build up stacks of buffs. The buffs built up vary depending on what line of elements you use.
    The buffs stack at a rate of 2% per skill used and cap at 10%.
    Lightning Stacks= Critical hit rate up
    Earth Stacks= Increased physical damage buff
    Fire Stacks= Attack speed up
    Ice stacks= Increased magical damage buff

    MP is slowly reduced as a stack caps and reduces a bit quicker as the number of stacks increases and normally buffs stays capped.You have a choice to deactivate Authority to regen mana normally and lose the self buffs.
    Or you can offload the buffs to other single target players with an ability called empower to lose the MP drain tick.


    30.Empower Ability: Grant the buff effects of divine authority to another player for a duration of 12 seconds.
    Note: None of the stacked Authority buffs are applied to yourself. You can only bestow them upon another party member.

    Tier 3 weaponskill: Elemental Blades.Can only be used after activating a tier 2 weaponskill or blight spell.
    35.ShellBust Stab: weaponskill- Delivers a fire attack with a potency of 180. Additional Effect: -5% Physical defense down for 8 seconds.
    38.Blastar Punch: weaponskill- Delivers a ice attack with a potency of 180. Additional Effect: +5% Healing effects received for 8 seconds.
    42.Hellcry Punch: weaponskill- Delivers a lightning attack with a potency of 180. Additional Effect: -5 Physical Attack down for 8 seconds.


    43:Dark Sword: ability- Instantly restores 400MP

    Elemental Sphere: Can only be used after activating a tier 3 weaponskill.
    46.Elemental Sphere: Spell- Casting this following a tier 3 weaponskill will envelop the enemy in a swirl of the casted element. Once the enemy is enveloped it will allow you to burst a tier 3 spell.

    Tier 3 spell: Can only be used after activating a tier 3 weaponskill.
    If spell used after setting a elemental sphere it burst magic with the sphere in place, spell gains +10% potency.
    46:Zero Deluge: spell-Delivers a magical ice attack with a potency of 300 to one enemy.
    50:Whistling Wind: Spell- Delivers a magical wind attack with a potency of 240. Additional effect: Knockback
    54:Lightning Storm: Spell- Delivers a magical based lightning attack to enemies around you with a potency of 280.


    58.Chains Of Bondage: Ability- 2 electric serpents protude from users back granting a charge to bolt weaponskills. Each charge increases potency by %10.
    Maximum amount charged is 10 charges. After a bolt skill is used the charges reset.


    Mechanics of job gameplay wise:

    Control Mechanics:
    1.Activate one of tier 1 elemental blades.
    2.Activate a second tier 1 elemental blade.
    3.Depending on which 2 blades you combo a specific blight spell or tier 2 ws takes the place of that blade element on the hotbar.

    4.Here you have two choices:
    (A)If you combo mineral/inferno,hailstone/torrents, or storm/whirlwind a specific tier 2 ws takes the place of those blade elements on the hotbar
    (B)If you combo torrents,storms,mineral,inferno,hailstone, or whirlwinds a specific blight spell takes the place of those blade elements on hotbar.

    5.After you activate a tier 2 ws or spell.A tier 3 ws takes the place of those blade element on the hotbar.
    6.Execute a tier 3 ws.
    7.A tier 3 spell takes the place of those elemental blade.
    8.Elemental sphere becomes executable. Use an elemental sphere.
    9.Execute a tier 3 spell to burst off the elemental sphere.


    Limit Break 3:
    Holy Explosion- Delivers an attack with a potency of 7000 to enemies in a straight line in front of you.

    would have made a nice job to play. seems to fit tank as well DPS roles. if only SE looked at this for a job addition

    I almost wanna' say they could save time and just rename Paladin to Sword Saint, rework our skills, and poof no more "baseline" tank gibberish that Yoshi says. They're gonna' eventually have to give up on that ideology when they keep adding more and more jobs. BUT, I'd actually consider playing it if it's a tank.

    As a matter of fact.....looking at the Wikia for it......holy shit this is just a reworded role description of Paladin. "A peerless warrior who commands an entire knightly order. It is said that none can match his swordplay." Hell, maybe this could just be the next evolution of Paladin....sort of like a Tank tier system where all of our current tanks could advance to new tiers to advance in more difficult content. I LIKE IT.

    I suppose they could go tank, but my hope for this job was an xiv version of FFXI samurai/blue mage/renkai system/magic burst. You combo skills to dish out mega magic for more damage depending on the weaponskill combination.

    Since the regiment system was removed here and I don't see them bringing FFXI combat into here. My wish is for one job that captures the spirit of that gameplay in Sword Saint.

    That old man broke the game. Sword Saint is a game breaking OP class.
    Orlandu is an OP tank with OP damage and OP speed with OP life absorbing skill, probably what the community here wants, OP Tank with OP DPS DPS DPS DPS DPS, heck we don't need DPS with this now. Should be perfect.
