Sit back and relax. It's not a competition with anyone or anything. With end game being what it is right now, take your time. The best part is the journey. You can storm sub jobs after you're done with the current story.

While this is all well and good... it kinda falls flat on those whose main goal is getting access to a particular job. It's not a matter of wanting to rush through content to end game. It's literally just wanting to play the game on the class we want. :/
RMT is everywhere in this game. The gate has definitely not hurt RMT. I get 30+ spam tells every play session.

Yoshi-P said at some point that the rough sketch of 4.0 is finished and will likely not require MSQ completion from ARR and HW.
Not necessarily. They may have something else in mind regarding RMT prior to 4.0 rolling, which will replace the need for a content gate.
I'm pretty sure it was from an interview, but yes I remember that too. He said there'd be a way for them to catch up on the story, or something. A recap video perhaps? They're still working that out.
Thank god. Doesn't change the issues with the current HW gate, but at least they saw reason there.
The content gate is literally doing nothing to stop RMT.
Again, dislike for the gating doesn't tend to involve wanting to "rush through to the end". For a lot of people it's more like wanting to be able to experience the book in the room that they would feel most comfortable in, but they're not allowed to read the book in their desired room until they've finished reading it in a very uncomfortable, less-desired room. Oh gosh I broke my personal rule against internet analogies. I apologize. More straightforward: People want to experience the game on the class they enjoy. Locking classes away and forcing them to experience the game from an undesired perspective doesn't really help them enjoy it.

Oh, for classes/jobs? Yeah it's a big fat mess.\For a lot of people it's more like wanting to be able to experience the book in the room that they would feel most comfortable in, but they're not allowed to read the book in their desired room until they've finished reading it in a very uncomfortable, less-desired room.
Some classes have several job upgrades. Many have only one. 4 you can't get without the story, 3 of which have no classes and start at level 30.
Just one big pile of disorganization.
