Once again a LNC lvl47 speaking.

When do you people realize that you have no clue? You are speaking out of hearsay at best, or based on nothing at worst.

Soloing is damn effective at and before level 13 and I see no hint of this changing anytime soon. Soloing is efficient to this point, and quite likely much beyond too, 'till mid-20's even. It's not like new players are thrown under the "group or die" bus as soon as they log in the first time.

I myself truly hope SE addresses the community 'issue' soon but even they can't cure ignorance.

Speaking as someone with a secondary character that has no other classes leveled, as well as someone with MRD sitting pretty at rank 15, even with 4 other combat classes 30+.

Soloing is not even close to 'effective' for lower levels. I was almost killed by a level 3 sheep from full health because I was level 2 with no class skills other than Trunksplitter. It took me an entire leve to go from level 4 to level 4 with 3/4s of my way to level 5. (Which by the way, is only 850 experience to get to.)

I myself truly hope SE addresses the community issues as well, but even they can't cure blind attack trolls.

Which still gives you a significant advantage (and significant bias to play the game in a certain, unintended way, as we can see from your second paragraph).

It took me 15 minutes to get from level 1 to 5, in which time I also earned 60k worth of mats to sell (at level 13 I now have 140k). I have no secondary characters, I didn't do any magical tricks to accomplish this. The difference between you and me is that you are stuck in trying to level in a way that isn't effective anymore, while I level in a way that is much more effective and sensible.

It's even more hilarious because you out of all people should have the resources to keep yourself up to date and know how to play the damn game. I should be the one struggling, but nope.

I mean, how much does one have to be stuck in an archaic mindset to not realize that leves that send you across half the world to kill 2 mobs just to earn 100xp and 200gil at the end of the task is not as effective as killing the dozens of easy-to-kill targets crowded in one place that earn you enough EXP to level up with ease up to level ten, not to mention drop a lot of good mats to be used for acquiring currency at the same time?

Any of those would be lovely to know.

Also, the sheep had nothing to do with my leve, that was one of those random "Easy to kill" mobs you were talking about.

Its funny that even when your options are so limited at that level, you still managed to screw it up. You don't need gear beyond level 1 nor skills beyond level 2 to handle everything the game throws at you at that stage. Blaming the game when the problem is at the other side of the screen is hilarious but understandable.

New players can't tap the same resources you do. They have essentially 0 gil to start with, unlike you. They haven't experienced the game yet, so they have no bias when it comes to playing it. You on the other hand, tried to just do what was familiar to you and failed horribly at it. Don't blame me.

(My level, skill, personal bias, and previous game experience are not relevant when a new player who has NONE OF THESE is the one who started the thread drawing attention to the issue in the first place.)
