If new players come here looking for advice, I'm not going to bash them.

If level 50 players come here with their head-up-in-their-ass-attitude telling the devs to FIX THE IMAGINARY PROBLEM, I am not going to be nice.

I just started playing on this new character, and im enjoying it.

Don't know what all the uproar is about to be honest. Seems it's more that people can't adapt to the new way to play, by fighting things their own level for optimal experience gain, and gaining gil is really easy, if you follow the tutorial, it pretty much maps it all out for you.

Again, thread was started by someone who has no previous experience with the game. How would they have to adapt to a 'new' way of playing?

last i checked crafting (made up of content and mechanics) was a part of the game, is it so alien that people actually at the very least attempt it; especially considering how easy crafting has been made.

I like that the thread creator is leaving this game for Aion, good luck soloing there, you'll need it...

And back on topic, I've found on alternate characters that the leveling system after 1.19 is much harder, whereas I could do leves at high difficulties previously, I now can only do them with the mobs at the same or a slightly higher level than me. I don't think the new system is slow though, by any stretch of the imagination. With exp chains, linking and the fast rate you should in theory be able to kill mobs around your level it's actually much better than previously.

If the TC was really having trouble killing mobs around their level with two friends, I'd suggest that they check what they're doing. Maybe level up some more classes for skills, the first few levels go so quickly and ensure that all their equipped gear is level appropriate.

It's amusing, go in game, tonnes of people online, chat is filled with people loving the patch, and yet as always, the forum is festering with complaints, which is good and all, but more and more as this game goes on, I see the people ingame happily playing, and the only ones who come here are those who can't proffer attention outside of the gaming world.

You see the same things on the WoW forums too, the very small vocal minority spend their time raging on every forum thread they can find about how the game doesn't live up to their standards, and yet the huge majority of players are ingame playing with dragons and spells.
