What i see on WoW most is Elitist complaining it ain't hard enough and wanting more content yesterday...
I played since beta and I can honestly say, this patch is not fun AT ALL. Why? I'm a casual gamer, i.e. have other things to do better than wasting 2~3 hours of my schedule shouting or asking people to PT.
I enjoyed the solo aspect of FFXIV and now 1.19 killed it.
I bought this game when it came out and quit a few months later, but after hearing about this patch i reinstalled a while ago to try it out.
I like the changes so far compared to the original release, but I've got to say there is one heck of a learning curve; especially if your completely fresh to this game with no foreknowledge. Its a good start, but not enough is explained which is probably leaving alot of people lost if they haven't stayed current with all the updates.
I leafed through the update lists and hit the guilds first thing to learn how to craft my own gear so I got the hang of things quick, but I doubt alot of new players are going to even know where to find that info, if they even know about it. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Strange, my brother got the game 2 days before the patch and he's still liking the game as much as before.

I reallly hope that Square-Enix listen to this. Otherwise, the game won't be attractive and no new players would want to join in. Honestly, I am really disapointed and it shows that Square-Enix doesn't know how to make mmo's.
I was at a party last night and we were talking about gaming. I mentionned to a friend about FF14 and he was like saying that the game is a lost cause. Anyway, you get point.....

I work with a huge collection of gaming nerds (myself included) and we have a massive selection of tastes, but every time this game is mentioned, it's like someone made an inappropriate joke about something current in the news. It is regarded as a black mark on gamings history, and currently the only people to enjoy it are those already playing it.I reallly hope that Square-Enix listen to this. Getting new blood into this game will either require a huge relaunch, rebranding, renaming or offering money, cause all joking aside, this game flopped like an old mans dinkle on release, and will more than likely never recover.

This. This is probably the hardest obstacle SE will have to overcome. For almost everyone that doesn't already play it or camp the lodestone for news, the game is still that "one Final Fantasy so bad it got a 4.0 from Gamespot". Even a massive patch like 1.19 only had mentions like "Chocobos are finally coming" on pretty much everywhere that is not massively.com.
