Plundered Gear?

As I understand it the rate for finding the plundered gear in a chest has been lowered... but do you need to do the Call of Booty quest first? Been hunting for a while and still no luck.

No, I was able to find that gear without that quest. You should be fine, though, I've never heard anything about the Plundered Gear drop rate being "lowered."

ah damn! yeah the chests were giving about 1-1.5k gil so it was quite easy to make a few thousand gil there. probably lowered it to about 70 gil a chest, knowing SE. I'll have to go find out.

Nah it was lowered to about 4-500. I was just down there tonight and got a lot of odd things from chests. Like uh mole loaf. yeaaa....loaf made out of moles. Yea....BUT, but. My friend did get a plundered? hat from one of the chests that suits mages.

Could have sworn that hat fell out of a chest though it's possible it was a tarred leather belt. useless or not you still get a ton of crap from that dungeon.

Why do people want plundered? (I got 2 of it in 10 minutes earlier after nerf, not much of a nerf :P) I have vendored in all 22 plundered items from my runs there, and it will grow xD are plundered gear used for some quest or something maybe?
