[dev1016] issue using old recipes -- nuggets

The update states:
* Old recipes will remain valid concurrently with new recipes for a time, after which they will be removed completely.

I am unable to synthesise nuggets -> ingots at the moment. I unfortunately have quite a few mythril nuggets which i would have synthed into ingots ahead of time if I had known this would be an issue.

are there any other recipes that have been removed entirely, and should this be considered a bug?

I took this the same as you, but i dont think it is a bug, just badly worded update

It is a bug. They specifically stated there were only two recipes being removed - something to do with copper. All other recipes were supposed to be still valid.

From the patch notes:

Of the existing recipes, the following have been phased out:
Smithing: Copper Ingot
Armorcraft: Copper Ingot

No mention of any other recipes being deleted.

This has happened in several other crafts as well. Seems intentional to me. The only old recipes that stuck around are the ones that didn't have a replacement with the same name.

It is not a bug, and the recipes were not deleted. I do not understand why some people are so confused about this still. There was an entire section in the planned item changes post regarding UPDATED RECIPES (i.e. recipes that were being CHANGED instead of having a new recipes eventually replace them).

Take Iron Ingots for example: that post clearly states the recipe for 5x Iron Nuggets > 1x Iron Ingot was being UPDATED (key word here) into 3x Iron Ore > 1x Iron Ingot. It's really as simple as that. It was the same way for leather, thread, cloth, lumber, etc-- all those recipes were listed in the updated recipe section and not merely as new recipes. Do you notice how not every recipe is listed in the updated recipe section? This is SE making a clear distinction between the two.

Still leaves the question: what to do with the nuggets in the meantime?

OP, can you turn them into mythril squares, maybe? Better than nothing.

It actually is intentional. The new ingot recipes are listed as 'updated recipe' which means the old one isn't available anymore.

I really wished they allowed us to make the ingots with our remaining nuggets..... 4 stacks for silver nuggets, 2 stacks of mythril, 8 stacks of iron..... what the hell am I going to do with it now orz....

You should have turned them into ingots prior to the patch. They made it clear almost a week before the patch that ingot recipes were being changed from nuggets to ore. Many of us realized this and made a bunch of ingots, as well as plates, since plates went from needing 1 ingot to needing 2 ingots.
