Nobody has to be 'shitty' to another player. That is a choice you make.
Abusing another player does not make them play better nor does it does it help them learn. It does make our community less pleasant and makes people less willing to interact with each other. Even if I'm not the target, witnessing somebody having a tantrum in an instance still spoils my experience of the game.

People who are so upset by bad players that they are unable to remain civil might try the following:
Only play with your friends (I assume you have some) or only play with FC members who come up to your standards.

Even better, stop thinking of the rest of us as NPCs whose sole purpose is to enable you to get what you want out of the game. Each PC you interact with has a person controlling them and that person has feelings, no matter how they play there is no excuse for abusive behaviour.

Well...nobody has to play bad either, unless someone has certain disabilities that don't let them play as well. It's a choice to learn or not learn your job and most people choose not to learn. Naturally this is incredibly frustrating and some people lose their heads quicker than others. It's a vicious circle.

Which is why I suggested that players who cannot control their temper don't use DF and try to play with players who meet their standards instead.
It is completely unrealistic to expect DF to only place you with groups of people with a similar skill level to yours.

Let's be honest though, it's not usually a case of cannot control their temper, it's will not. I'm sure the majority of people who abuse others here don't do the same at their workplace or in a RL lesuire facility because in RL there are consequences. If there were consequences here, I doubt we'd see as much of it as we do.

Not everyone feels the need to run content as efficiently as possible or to conform to an optimal formula to maximize their performance. If someone wants to run content on a class vs job with whatever setup of skills they find fun to use, they are entitled to do so. That play style is just as valid as any other. I don't think the other person is intentionally looking to disrupt your style of play or waste your time, even if that is what is happening. I'm all for a system setting in duty finder for preventing these points of view from clashing. If there was a casual/roleplaying setting I could check off before duty finder I'd have it on full-time. I'd even like to see an option for random group composition to make my duty finder experience like a good old DnD dungeon crawl.

Except the game was made with a certain standard. If average joe who likes roleplaying a dragoon that doesn't jump due to freight of heights or a monk that refuses to punch because his fists killed his lover, I have all right to remove them. Their 15$ entitles them to nothing except logging into the game.

One of the bigger problems is the fact that you rather remember a bad run than you remember a good run without any problems. A good run is over in no time while awful runs drag on forever, mostly having unneccessary discussions and people you'll never forget about due to their really bad behaviour.

I'd say I've had way more good experiences in DF, but sadly, I remember every run in which I felt uncomfortable.
There are lots of nice players out there, willing to help and friendly. But it is how it is: Salty and unfriendly people are louder than everyone else, so you will always notice them...

Ff11 worked because if you were a garbage person the whole world would know about you, here you can't be shamed openly because of random pugs, if people started making a blacklist thread of bad people it would be a start.

Just start writing down peoples names, save the convos, go to their server forums, and show people, if you just let people push you around in pugs then that must be a nice life..

I just don't talk, I don't need to, i'm 193 going on 195 in pugs, theres not a word I need to say, ever.

This is why I stopped logging in. They put the most important part of progression in the most toxic of environments. Any currency that can be earned in dungeons should be acquirable from hunt marks.

What a great idea when the hunting community is BY FAR the most toxic thing in this game.
