Why do Ninja and Monk use different gear?

Different amount of main stats. DRG gear have more def than MNK gear. This would mean keep the stats how they are and buff the monk with more def or change the stats and nerf DRG with less def.
Also different favourite 2nd stats.

It'd be fine to change the defense either direction, it's a fairly useless stat.

As for secondary stats like crit, det etc, it's not like SE caters to giving classes optimum secondary stats anyway. If anything they outright avoid it.
