To me SMN is very similar to BRD and MCH. The logic behind them is the same. You are a semi-mobile DPS class and you should try not to let your buffs or oGCD skills clip into your GCD. BRD and SMN are also similar in that you want to make sure you have dots...on everything! If you want an easy DPS I recommend BLM. Very very super very much brain dead class whose difficulty only scales with the amount of mobility required in the content you are undertaking.

Ninja has to hit all his dots and ogcds inside Trick Attack and Dancing Edge/Hawk's Eye. There's several ways of going around it, but the opening rotation is pretty heavy to perform, especially on high latencies. Then again, high latencies - don't play NIN. Even Bards have a strict "highest damage rotation" on single targets.Probably the easiest dps to pick up is brd or mch. They really do not have set rotation and do not have to juggle any stacks or cds like the other classes. Ninja doesn\\'t have any either except using Armor Crush to extend Huton and Suiton to use Trick Attack
Typically, I see healer mains pick up the support dps\\'s faster because they are already use to supporting the party
Every class has "rotations" to perform; some roles are just easier to work around with it. I would personally just pick whatever class it is that you feel the most interested in.

For me in my limited experience the easiest has been Ninja...well...........
Okay, easy is not the right word because people always jump on my throat and tell me I am bad if I say anything is easy. I find it easier than BLM mainly because I, like you, have the attention span of a goldfish and lose track of timers especially with the long cast times on BLM. Buttonwise BLM is easy but if you don't have the brain for timers...which I do not...ow.
NIN seems to me (so far, my NIN is an alt character currently lvl 53 or so) to be much more fluid and forgiving. The rotation is longer but if I lose Huton I don't lose access to my hardest hitting abilities and I can get it back super quick. That feels like a wonderful thing after BLM.
When people say BLM is easy they forget that, I think... We don't have many buttons but you flub up just once you eat almost 30 seconds of horrible.

the logical dps would be blm sure agrolines(aka leylines) sucks and the flare nerf hurt but just changes the playstyle a bit its quite easy to play and alot less to remember then summoner

Honestly, I never found the ninja opener hard to perform but maybe that is due to the fact I don't have high latency.Ninja has to hit all his dots and ogcds inside Trick Attack and Dancing Edge/Hawk's Eye. I guess I should have been clearer. While Bard and MCH do have rotations and buff rotations, as like any class, they do have much more flexibility in their rotations. SMN is like this as well but probably more so.
I'm just some guy...
Since you already have SMN at 60, I'd suggest going back to around Haukke Manor and practicing some of the basics on SMN; i.e., get a feel for when you use your stack-attacks, how long each of the dots last. Get a good feel for how the basics work, and work your way up the dungeons as you get the hang of things.
Plus, you'll already have whatever gear you'd need, so going in synced should help offset any lack of skill you feel you have.

Personal opinion here but I feel out of all the jobs I've got to 60 MNK is probably the one that is the most user friendly. Positionals are probably what is most daunting about the class but it very quickly becomes second nature. On the opposite side of things MCH is a clusterfork of things you have to keep track of without much room for error and you don't even get a spiffy looking kersplosion for your troubles!. BRD is pretty easy but I find it kind of boring/slow with the cast times.
So my vote goes for MNK (the best job in the game). YEP!
