I hope you are able to understand that people can separate their real life beliefs from what they would like to see or do in a video game.
ask te ppl how love star wars empire, ask the ppl how loves sephirot, ask the ppl how like the joker and more.Roman Empire? Are you kidding?
I simply can't believe that people can actually root for the Garlean Empire, who would turn the world into a mechanical totalitarian nightmare. Do you need more explanation why our (REAL) world is so messed up? Don't look further. People like the darn Garlean Empire, though the devs do their best to paint them as absolute villains. And STILL people root for them. Unbelievable.
It's like people in WoW rooting for the Burning Legion.
I'd say "get a grip, folks", but I know it's no use. You'll get no grip.
Also, this thread is probably the nadir of my whole Internet experience. It's really scary and depressing, beyond words.
ficcion is ficcion if the ppl can't diference the reality from ficcion is not mi problem.
in the real world the persons how dealt bad thinks don't play videogames.
Most protagonists of the Final Fantasy series have their own flavors of being good, but they still do good for the sake of it and everyone they're fighting for. Like the Warrior of Light.
There's that word again, even if you could say they are outright evil they certainly are not evil for evil's sake.this, all of this. you know i always wonder how stuff like the holocaust could even happen, like what kind of a person could even justify that crap, but this thread is just...wow.
some people are so willing to follow evil, no matter what.
flavor? the empire is EVIL FOR EVIL SAKE!!! just like ascians.
Then evil for personal gain. Is that better?
Evil isn't real, nor is good. it's perspective. Like it or not they are an illusion, definite good and evil can only be defined in a plot and in most cases a pretty boring plot by today's standards, religion as well but one could define those as a story. Not condoning anyone to go and harm someone or anything but it's never as black and white as 'good' or 'evil'. There is always a reason for said actions.
I don't give a moogle's bottom about what is evil or how it's subjective. Until more is revealed and we start actually seeing WHY the empire is so hellbent on wanting to conquer everything, I stand by my points and not on the what ifs.
It's pretty simple to understand why the loyalists will follow them to the end, they believe the world is in chaos and decide that only by unifying everyone under a single banner can peace truly reign. There is probably more to it, more to their history that will give more context but we are a long way off from learning about garlemald's society and history.
Sort of like Sacred Darkness, The person can look evil, have dark powers, look demonic, but then they swoop down and just saved innocent lives.Evil isn't real, nor is good. it's perspective. Like it or not they are an illusion, definite good and evil can only be defined in a plot and in most cases a pretty boring plot by today's standards, religion as well but one could define those as a story.
