We should ally with the Garleans

I love how some posters referenced the 'innocent fairy' as if that was an arguement for why we shouldn't ally with the garleans.

How many innocents do you think the Warrior of Light has killed? How many people has he wanton slaughtered? We fought the Shield Hero to the death, who fought believing in the ideals. We fought the Tsundere, who died for what she loved and never wanting to lose it again. We fought the man who even offered us his hand - because we were hell bent on 'protecting eorzea.'

Ok, shield hero I know, tsundere might be who I'm thinking about, but the one who offered us his hand? Who is that again?

Shield hero + tsundere = both done in defense against an invasion.

In regards to the war, it's pretty black and white
actually.

One wants to conquer and kill all who resists, while the other one is defending itself.
You also know what'll happen if the invader wins.
Or are you saying genocide is good?

You would be pretty blinded to say that the empire is the good guy here.

Not necessarily neutral, but not like the others to be sure. The other Ascians we've fought have been absolutely insane and hellbent on the idea of Zodiark destroying or eclipsing Hydaelyn, but Elidibus wants balance for some reason we don't know.

Unfortunately, that balance seemingly involves the WoLs dying.

It's the quiet ones that you should watch out for.
