We should ally with the Garleans

The myth is that he was chosen by the Twelve, as Silvertear is the source of all magic. Since Middy made a pact with Hydaelyn and not the Twelve, we dunno about the latter part.

What I don't understand is if he is supposed to be Hydaelans ally then why during 2.0-3.0 does he willfully cut off our link to Hydaelan knowing that we are chosen to be her chamoion? Surely a wise and noble dragon such as midgarsomr would realize we as a child of man are not simply wicked because of what are ancestors did. If he can't realize that I don't see why anyone would think he is wise.

But there's one thing in the story that has bothered me so far

If I remember right there was a scene where Alphinaud tells you that he doesn't want the word out that citizens of Eorzea can summon primals into themselves, because then the Empire would see the whole of Eorzea as something that needs to be glassed. Then Shiva does her Shiva thing right in front of the Imperial warship... And nobody on board the Enterprise seemed to notice or take that fact into account. I'm not even sure the garleans cared. Like, everyone is going to pretend like that didn't just happen? I'm not crazy right? That conversation happened? Shouldn't we be concerned? No? Okay.

If they're true to their incarnation in 3, they won't be evil. Antagonists yes, but not evil.
