    Honestly, Garleans did not care about the Primal threat up until the Domans or somewhere in Othard summoned a Primal to fight against them.

    It's quite an ironic self-fulfilling prophecy: Garleans don't trust people/ beast tribes so they pre-emptively kill them > beast tribes and people don't trust them so they try to summon their god(s) or warriors from the past and then the cycle continues.

    I wonder if we'll be getting rid of the Asciens this expansion?

    Anyways, what I like about this game is that there are some grey areas here and there and that none of the city-states are exactly perfect.

    * Ul'dah speaks for itself

    * Gridania was/is very Xenophobic; discriminating immigrants for the rest of their lives (mentioned by Mionne and Fufucha). The woodwailers are starting to get even more corrupt and using that authority to take advantage of Keeper Miqote and Duskwights

    * Limsa Lominsa broke their treaty with Kobolds and I think instigated the war with Sahagin. They hired Mamool Ja to be mercenaries, but now that they don't need them anymore they're not willing to get a ship for them to travel back to their homeland; they are now without a home and are slowly becoming a nuisance to limsa. While it's still reforming, the streets aren't very safe yet. Based on the AST storyline, women get kidnapped and sold into sex slavery; hence why there's usually an escort. Probably same for men to an extent

    * Ishgard is just like Gridania, but if you're unlucky enough to get the wrong attention of a noble and be accused of Heresy then you'll either have a trial by combat or jump off a cliff

    * Ala Mhigo seems to be very kill happy based on some of the refugees we see and its history. They're the reason why the concept of GCs exists.

    * Sharlayan not much is known other than they hoard knowledge like the syndicate hoards money. The Garleans, apparently viewed them as a threat. Willing to watch Eorzea be conquered by Garlemald. Created Alexander and there's probably something wrong about them that's being kept secret

    I remember when we had to disguise ourselves as garlean soldiers (lol) and we briefly got to know some of the soldiers we got group up with. They were just soldiers with families to go to and very normal ... until we killed them
