That's false - not every Garlean supported Nael when he sought to bring Dalamud down upon Eorzea. Nor is Eorzea free of sin when it comes to genocide given all the war and conflict that has taken root within the continent itself. The Ishgardians and Ala Mhigans are the prime culprits for that - though they're not without redeeming qualities. I doubt Garlemald is without redeeming qualities - because if it is, then the story would become very boring.

Yet I'm 99% certain that it will be painted in a more sympathetic light. After all, we only saw one side of the conflict with the Dravanians and most people brushed them off as evil.
