We should ally with the Garleans

I just think it would be pretty interesting if we could roll Garlean kinda like in SWTOR jedi/ sith, sure as hell would make pvp easier to set up. It would require making and entirely new game (MSQ, side stuff... hell everything) which at this point would be impossible but i always though it would benefit the lore of FFXIV if we could see all sides of the war.

Shouldn't Eorzea easily destroy Garlemond? we have like 10,000 Warriors of Light and the empire only have buckethead goofball soldiers. If the game counts the player as the only WoL, we still have other adventurers who are as powerful as the WoL anyway.

It's canon that there's only 1 WoL at present.

i whant to join the garlean empire, i alwais wait for that moment and help to conquer eorzea, but well game say nope and i stay here.

eorzea himself can't defeat the garlean empire, they have the warriors of light yea but the regular army of the 3 city states can't dealt whit the magitech tecnology, actully eorzea have luck when midgarsworm destroy the capital ship.

Btw no ones really saying they are 'good' My stance is that it isn't as black and white as that, but I'm not saying all their actions are justifiable. As for joining them I personally think it would be more fun, but I enjoy villains more than I enjoy Heroes, especially if the story isn't as simple as X the good guys and Y the bad guys.

Stories were retconned like the Azure Dragoon. He was killed in 1.0, but in 3.0 he's alive again. We haven't seen this brainwashing haapen since 1.0 so you have to guess that it was probably retconned as well that they can't do it anymore.

How can you explain how Estenien being alive then if the idea wasn't retconned? He was killed by the player.

Well yeah that may of been retconned, many things have, but not all of 1.0 has been retconned (silly I know). Some examples being the battle of silvertear, general history (eras, wars, most events prior to 1.0) and of course the calamity and the whole story arc with the archons and nael van darnus.

EDIT: by calamity I mean the events leading up to it with dalamud.
