Are these hairstyles really the best of the submissions you received?

Why are all the female hairstyles just boring? Where is the variation? Why are they barely different than anything already in the game?

You posted increase in profit numbers, increase in subscription numbers, a desire to expand to XBox and the Wii. But too lazy to pick a hairstyle more difficult to implement in game than "random braid"?

Japanese bias? Why do 90% of the entries selected as finalists have JP text on them?

The best part?

When using a picture to submit an entry, you may use either your own hair or a mannequin. Additionally, there are no restrictions on using wigs; however, please do not include aspects other than the hairstyle in the picture, and be sure to follow all of the rules

Square Enix shall not accept submissions that: ... (b) violate or infringe any laws, regulations, or rights, including any intellectual property or privacy rights;

* Entries must be an original design created by the person entering the contest.

why were only the jp asked if they wanted the contest or clipping issues fixed?

I just hate the winning male entry in general.. I want a couple out of the top five. :/

Well, I personally don't care too much. 16 for the females is pulling ahead slightly. I know the Likes are kinda skewed at the moment, but I'm holding on for the hope that 16 wins
