I would have still made this thread whether mine had been picked or not. I feel the choice selection as a whole lack variety. I'm not begrudging individual entries nor am I saying mine should have or even my favorite concept should have made it in.

I'm just upset that all the male hairstyles are...well, female. Something masculine would've been nice.

Fuma: please stay on topic and only post constructive ideas.

This isn't just about me. This is about the collective we who feel the same. The issues are real, I was just the first to think of making this topic. I'm the facilitator, not the leader.

Ok constructive, in life you have winners and losers. Not everyone can win and not everyone can make what the dev team thinks are the top entries. This was your chance to influence their opinion. These posts are getting old and lame, there are several people just like you who feel wronged because they weren't chosen. Your collective are the thousands who entered who weren't selected. So like I said, there are winners and losers, this time you were not chosen as a winner. It happens, move on. You feel your work more deserving than others or that your idea of what should be put up to vote on wasn't picked.
AND in my opinion I thought they did a good job picking masculine, feminine, and gender neutral hairstyles for both male and female hairstyles.

This was a better post, but you did not read the first post. This isn't me complaining that i, personality, did not win. That doesn't factor into this opinion. I was never upset. If you had read the first post, you'd understand this and would not try to argue a generalized and unfounded notion.
I'm sorry you feel these posts are getting old. If it makes you feel better, I feel that people coming into this thread and telling me how or why I feel the way I do without reading is getting lame and old.
Personally, I don't give a crap who got picked and who didn't.Ok constructive, in life you have winners and losers. My problem is that what *did* get picked is more of the same that we already have: Shitty accessories, boring ponytails, and overly fancy crap, and more stupid anime hair.
It really is awesome how a debate or difference of opinions somehow makes us rude, disrespectful or "salty." That forum logic right there. Again, I really don't think the purpose of this thread, nor any of the comments in here were made against individuals or individual entries which made the finals. The issue we have is, on whole, the finals lack the variety of choices in styles that we were expecting to come with a creative, community-driven contest.
I'll reiterate what I said earlier. Using the females as examples, we literally just got a ponytail design implemented with HW, why do we need another? Adding a braid or tossing it to the side does not make it any less a ponytail. There are several bob style cuts in game already, again, adding a braid or a clip or something like that does not make it any less a bob. Just as there are already several pigtail styles (across all races) in game already, and yet we see more pigtails in the finals. As far as the males, there are also already several short, spiked or shagged looks in game. Just as there are several of those cuts in the finals. Even if they are designed differently than those in game, it does not make them any less short, spiked and shagged. Do you see the point we're trying to make? It's not that the individual designs themselves are in any way, shape or form undeserving, bad, or illegitimate, but that the finals as a whole do not reflect a desired variety for new, fresh styles that are not re-hashes of what is in game already, or different versions of each other.
This contest is probably too far gone for anything we bring up in this thread, or any other thread, to change it now (which is unfortunate with the female finalists being down an entry now). But it would be nice if SE acknowledges that perhaps in future creative design contests the way things are implemented should be changed to avoid this discontent in the future. Am I going to be called salty and rude for this? Probably.

Adding my 2 gil, as a lala who was not an entrant:
I wish that the finalists had more variety among them. There should be only one bun, one ponytail, one bob among the lot.
It wasn't handled well, and I hope that SE does things a bit differently in the future.
