Could these items be added as World of Darkness drops much like Sands of Time, Oil of time and Unidentified Allagan Tomestone were added to Syrcus Tower? It's old content but outside of Final Coil (that not everyone can farm) and hunts (that not a lot of people do), the only other way to get them is still under a weekly lockout, and the queues for the 3 raids are pretty long now that it's old content.

Like I said, almost no one does them anymore. I can't solo A and S-ranks, and with only dailies/weeklies (which is what I am doing now) I get 548 seals a week. A carboncoat costs 3000.

Outside of Coil, the other alternatives are still paced as if it was still relevant content. Getting to 130 still takes as much as it did in 2.55.

Honestly, they should just add them to poetics like they added the newer upgrade materials to laws. Simple as that.

Are you limited to lvl50? If not (in other words, you own Heavensward) then completely ignore the Ironworks gear because vendors sell almost as good in Ishgard. You should also be able to buy crafted HQ versions on the marketplace that are i115 that are pretty damn good.

Of course, if you are limited to 2.x content then Augmented Ironworks is the best but you're severely limiting yourself by not getting Heavensward.

Yes, I don't own Heavensward. I need them for final Coil (and I would like them for glamour but that's not a priority right now, I am still gearing up my main) because it's the best I can get.

FFXIV is my first MMO so I didn't really know how things worked. I hated lockouts and decided to quit and come back when they'd be lifted, so it was weird seeing there this items gated like this when Syrcus Tower's system was excellent.
I'd rather wait till 4.0 drops or close to that so I can do everything I want and avoid all the lockouts/walls/excessive grinding and farming. It's worked very well so far. This is the first thing wall I've hit and it's not in line with how they've handled tomestone gear in the past, so I hope they'll change it when the new raid comes and people will flock there.
