HELP WITH WORLD TRANSFER TO ZALERA SERVER IF I ONLY OWN REALM REBORN

hello all, ill try to be clear about what im hoping to resolve here,

i have a buddy who bought an ff14 a realm reborn/heavensward combo and he is currently playing heavenswarn on ZALERA server

i own a realm reborn and i cant access the zalera server when i make try to make a new char but when i go to the mog station it allows me to world transfer

since my bud is playing a realm reborn i thought it would be easy for me to world transfer over to zalera but once i did, my character disappeared from the game client and zalera is not available as a world option. my character still appears on the mog station but when i play the game it doesnt.

do i need to buy heavensward JUST to play a realm reborn on the zalera server?

Sorry if I've misunderstood, but you're saying you've completed the transfer?

In which case from the main menu of the game you just need to click Data Centre and then select the data center you now use which for Zalera is Aether.

Then when the character screen loads up you should then see your character and next time you can just click straight into it as normal, you only need to go via Data Centre menu if you're changing the active data centre (or switching to another service account on the same Square Enix account without logging all the way back out/in)
