    Help me with my paladin!!

    Hello fellow tanks
Me and my static is about to head into savage and I d like a little help with my PLD!
I heard we need to play around with accessories now a little bit in order to meet required dps?
If this is true are slaying gordian accessories the way to go or should I pentameld 150 HQ fending accessories?
Look me up in the lodestone under "Balthier Lightsworn" and tell me what I could change around in my gear to meet the dps reqs.
Right now I m pulling around 500-550 in tank stance and something close to 600-620 in sword oath in a fight like normal A4 but I only have like 1 gordian slaying accesory, all my points allocated to str but the rest are gordian fending :/
Any help regarding how a paladin should be handling savage is greatly appreciated!
I know we re not the optimal tanks atm but I hope I can pull this off.

You should be fine with those sorts of numbers. From my experience with A1S and A2S, if one tank is going a more defensive route i.e. more vit gear than str gear, the other tank can go full STR to compensate (or the dps can git gud trololol). I play Warrior and my DRK friend is the OT. He goes full STR while I stick with the higher VIT and we do fine.

I thought I should be pulling a bit more :/
Royal authority is so inconsistent for some reason! Sometimes hitting for 1400s sometimes hitting for 990 :/ (not counting crits or FoF)
Aaaanyway is there a certain HP value that I should never drop below? I m thinking of changing a few more gordian accessories over to slaying thats why I m asking if I d rather go for gordian slaying or 150 fending with STR pentameld.

Pentamelded accessories are way too expensive for the little time you're gonna use them. I'd say better to play with your Gordian slaying and fending accessories, also, to adjust more your stats, you can reset them and reassign
depending on how many fending/slaying parts you're wearing.
I.e: With DRK I use three fending and two slaying and 20str/15vit stats when MTing.
Hope this helps you. don't know much about PLD since I use DRK and WAR.

for a1s i use 4 str acc and 35 str, for a2s and a3s i use 3 str acc 35 str but it's more on you and your healers comfort level... like, until you are used to mechanics and pushing for the clear, you might wanna be in more fending acc just to live long enough to see enrage vs putting out #'s

600 is pretty standard in a4 while using nearly full vit.Im not the most experienced pld ever but i pull around 850 on a dummy in full str with i200 wep.
So you should be aroungd 700-800 in most normal cases of fights while using full str.

For savage as a pld tho id either go full melded ( if you are rich) or go 3 str 2 vit sessories, that plus food should put you at the min hp required for the content assuming your healers are on there game.

What food would you recommend? str or vit? Granted I go 3 slaying 2 fending or 4 slaying 1 fending

Regardless. You want 16k - 17kish health and go all Str after meeting that.

The 150 acc are definitely worth it if you can afford them. They provide the highest amount of Str while meeting the vit meat for savage. More so than combining even 210 acc.

Yeah for A1S you would want aporx 16K, once you got that start putting on Slaying gear, as long as your HP dosn't drop below 16K you should be fine. I've got like 1 Fending Ring on and the rest is slaying. Food wise I use Morel Salad.
