I like to stay above 15000 hp minumum but 16000 makes me feel most comfortable. The biggest attack in there, when mitigated properly, is gona hit for about 10k~12k and its followed up quickly by an auto attack for 1k~2.5k so I like to have a little bit of a cushion. Regarding the pentamelded stuff, its too expensive for i150 for what it is. The stats offer a nice balance of str and vit but it wont make you stronger than a pure fending or pure slaying tank at doing what they do i.e. pure slaying i190 > pentamelded for damage and pure fending i190 > pentamelded for Max HP.

Regarding the crafted jewelry, it is definitely very good at the moment. Also very expensive.
A pentameld - assuming melded 3x vit IV, 1x random IV, 1x vit III - gets you 31 Str, 28 Vit, and 49 points of secondary stats. 59/49 of primary/secondary.
An i210 slaying gets you 47/74 of primary/secondary. I will GLADLY trade 25 secondary for 12 primary stats. (Unless the fights get easy, then full Str)
An i190 slaying (which OP probably has most of) gets you 40/61 of primary/secondary. 19 primary stats behind. Per piece. That's huge.
The argument against i150s is that they're expensive and have been out a while. SE could put out another set next week & make these obsolete. And at some point they probably will (These are grey. The i110s were green. Crafters need a "chase" item.)

In the case of vitality, 19 really is not that huge if that's what you re talking aboutRegarding the crafted jewelry, it is definitely very good at the moment. Also very expensive.
