Would have been nice if they had made it more clear earlier. They probably should have posted the voting rules on the voting page as well, as I'm pretty sure most wouldn't read it on the main page.

It's actually not about the scarf at all. The instructions have been pretty clear since the start. Again, anyone who votes (by pressing "Like" on one of the finalist entries) is automatically entered into the drawing for the "Scarf of Wondrous Wit", and 140 scarf winners will be randomly selected. There simply is no more to that particular part of the contest (for the scarf) than that (other than that they won't be announcing scarf winners, it will either show up in your game-mail one day or it won't).Pretty sure that's referencing the scarf. As in, people with multiple characters (like myself) can't "Like" a whole bunch of times to try and get more chances at the scarf. It just counts our last like.
Now, why they decided to limit the scarf to so few people, I have no idea.
For example, using "Like" more than once does not give you a better chance of being one of the "randomly selected 140 winners" for the scarf. And only your last "like" counts when it comes to determining a winning hairstyle anyway.
^ This guy gets it.

Well, the highest voted one on page 3 still has about 3,000 less votes than the highest one (still #21 :c) and the second highest one, so I doubt it's going to put either out of the running even with people not knowing only their last like counts.
Either way, they really should have the notice of only the last like counting bold and red on the first post of both voting threads imo.
There is no apostrophe in Au Ra.
Stop adding one three years later.
21 was originally on page 3 though, when the majority of the current votes very put in. Regardless, considering that page 2 has 2 of the highest voted ones, 8 & 1 seem out of luck.
Considering their forum software doesn't even have a basic poll function, it makes me wonder how they'll figure out who voted on what last? They can probably see who voted on what, but how would they know if I cast a vote on (random numbers) 19 before 2? The cynic in me says they're using that a cop out in case the more complex and difficult ones win, but I hope I'm wrong.
...and I hope they add a poll system onto their forums if they ever do this again.

So there's really no way to tell who's winning then at this point? This is the weirdest way to count votes that I've ever seen, especially changing the wording well after the contest has begun. People have undoubtedly voted incorrectly. It feels like it was done in such a way where they could technically pick their own winner and none of us would be the wiser. I'm sure they wouldn't do that, though.
I hope.
Couldn't they read over the rules before posting them to see if they are right..changing them after the voting started is really bad..I went back and took some of my votes back and only gave it to one hairstyle just to be sure.

They didn't change the rules, they clarified them. Of course they should have been more clear in the first place and now the contest is probably buggard beyond salvaging so they should have just ran with it and saved the clarity for the next contest.
With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.

think it was deleted word on another thread was that the person photo shopped it from another entry then entered it but who knows
You'd think they'd put that rule in bold on the actual thread, and not buried in the lodestone post in a similar manner to fine print.![]()

Why did people doubt that only your last vote counts? It said so from the start... .-.
Oh right, reading is hard.
