Why do people have such a distaste for bangs here? Maybe they should have a bangs and no bangs option for every hair style, I'd love that.

I would love that actually. I wish they at least had equal amounts of no bangs to go with all the with bangs options. At least for Au'ra, there really is hardly any for without.

I wish people would keep in mind when they talk about how disappointed they are with who got chosen and how all of the finalist entries suck, that the people who drew those are probably reading this, and being made to feel pretty damn shitty about it. Not once, but over and over and over and over and over.

The problem is not with the hairstyles. Like art, they're subjective, and a style I hate someone else may love. That doesn't make it universally good or bad - there's always going to be a mix of opinions. And artists learn to develop a thick skin over that quickly (or don't make it very far as artists).

The problem is with how the finalists were chosen. I'm fine with the developers eliminating entries that are technically not feasible, or didn't follow the rules of the competition. I'm not fine with some mystery person(s) picking their favorite batch of hairstyles (which, again, like art is subjective!) and then asking the community to vote on a winner *from that batch* while pretending like this was a community choice.

All the entries which passed a sanity check should have been posted as finalists, and then the community allowed to vote, resulting in half of the most liked styles passing on to the next round. And then the community votes on those, and the top 50% passes on to the next round, etc, etc until a single style remains.

Instead, right now many feel like they're having to pick the hairstyle they hate the least. And the bulk of the votes will go to a handful of hairstyles because people don't see the point in using their one vote on (example) a style that has 200 votes when there are several sitting near 2000. The understandable thinking there is "I want to vote for style H, but style X, Y, and Z are the only ones that have a chance of winning so I better pick my favorite out of those three..". Thus, those few styles that broke into the lead early (for whatever reason) were bound to continue gaining more and more momentum for that reason alone.

All around it was just a stupid way to handle the competition.

Welcome to the internet and reality. If a bunch of electronic words hurt your feelings that they affect your day, you in for a real shock when you walk out the door and start dealing with human beings face to face.

That isn't entirely true though, people are way more vicious on the internet due to the anonymity it gives them.

I think it's more due to how impersonal it is. You see plenty of people being vicious on Twitter or Facebook or whatever with their real names on display.

Ahh i wouldnt say all the Ones chosen feel bad, I mean i'm No. 6 Male, I don't stand a chance of winning but glad to be picked Just glad iv had neither bad or good criticism so far! lol
