Are you sure that's not a misunderstanding? I didn't get that from the rules at all...

He is gravely mistaken. Anyone who votes is entered into the contest for the "Scarf of Wondrous Wit", and 140 winners will be randomly selected. There simply is no more to that particular part of the contest (for the scarf) than that.

For example, voting more than once does not give you a better chance of being one of the "randomly selected 140 winners" for the scarf (only your last vote counts when it comes to determining a winning hairstyle anyway). And (in terms of the scarf contest) they're not only only considering votes placed on the winning hairstyle (how ridiculous would that be? Everyone would pile their vote behind one hairstyle at the last second), etc. None of that nonsense.

I'm really wondering what the people on the Japanese, French, and German sides are saying about this contest. I wonder if it's only the English community that isn't happy with what was offered.

@AnaviAnael Sorry for double post, but I've to reply to this, I know a few of my french speaking friends are far from happy on whats to offer. One of them, I cant repeat but another said and to translate & paraphrase "All these hairstyles are for those anime obsessed hytai (don't know what that means) loving weirdos that is perfect for their virtual waifu (don't know what means either)". The german girl I'm friends with only liked the 10th entry, said it was the most normal looking one.

Thanks for the reply! I'm hoping this can provide some feedback to the dev team on what people would like to see in the future. It really feels like the contest has devolved from hairstyles to art styles.

I'm guessing she meant "hentai" meaning basically "erotic/pornographic anime".
[A Waifu is the word for an anime character , which is your "Wife". It also can be engrish , meaning pronounce Wife in japanese. The importenst thing in having a Waifu is to never have more than one. If you do so , your laifu is ruined.] (quoted from urban dictionary, typos included ;3)

There are some really nice looking hairstyle in here. I would gladly use some of those.
Will they be available for free when the contest ends? Or only the winners will be able to use them.

(I haven't read the whole thread so sorry if this has already been said)

I think it would have been better if the contest was separated by region (this is actually how I thought it was being done until the live thing). Each region has different trends and tastes (with variants among individuals, of course) so it's kinda odd to have us all voting for only 1 hairstyle per gender. People are always gonna be dissatisfied, but people may have liked their options better if they were chosen based on that particular region's general tastes. I could be wrong, though.

Plus, we would have gotten more than 2 new hairstyles :D
