    Yoshi P / Dev Team: FAVOR System - Please Fix This BROKEN System

    To: Yosh P & Dev Team,

    The "Red Scrips increase" you just did for this upcoming hot fix does NOTHING to alleviate the core issue, there are more fundamental problems with your entire Red Scrips-based design for Gathering and Crafting.

    For Gatherer's Favors, this system feels extremely unfair and NOT FUN.

    You already expect players to grind away earning a puny 8 Red Scrips per turn-in to eventually get 50 Red Scrips for 1 set of Favors.

    THEN on top of that, today's HORRID results:

    * Favor 1 (Dravania Hinterlands): 0 (ZERO) Nodes spawned in full 15 Minutes.
    * Favor 2 (Dravania Forelands): 1 (ONE) Node spawned in 15 minutes.
    * Favor 3 (Dravania Hinterlands): 1 (ONE) Node spawned in 15 minutes.
    * Favor 4 (Dravania Forelands): 0 (ZERO) Nodes spawned in 15 minutes.

    SERIOUSLY?!

    Yoshi P how can you honestly defend this new Favor System as something that is more "casual friendly" or that is even fun? It's NOT FUN AT ALL.

    You mash away like mad for 15 full minutes non-stop, desperately hoping that even ONE puny Node will spawn (or not).

    At the very least players who saved up and finally earned the Favor and used it should have at least *1* Node spawn.

    If not, you feel like you've WASTED so much of your time and life for nothing.

    It's a disappointing, frustrating feeling for this broken Favors & Red Scrips system.

    Please reconsider the entire system and making it more approachable and fun. Thanks.

    I think the favor nodes should just be added to the folklore books. 4950 blue scripts per folklore book feels like way too little return from the time it takes to farm that many blue scripts with what they currently give you.

    I kind of suspect the Folklore books are the Gathering version of the Master books. When they add new stuff, some of the new things are going to be added to the current books, just as they added new stuff to the Master books and then the Master II books.

    Not that I'm really defending the system, but you may have been really unlucky there (or I've been very lucky):

    I've done 5 of them so far, and had one 7 nodes, three 4 nodes and one 2 nodes. One of those also had the rarer item as well, so that was 22 of the items from 5 favors.

    As it's on a timer it's important to be as fast as possible in the gathering.

    people say the average is around 4 nodes per favor , personally after 30 or so favors my average is only around 3 but that might be cause of bad luck. So with an average of 4, spending all gatherer's red scrips on favors you could get just enough ooids/shrooms/etc to spend all crafter's red scrips on crafting materials (assuming you trade 1:1 with other gatherers to get exactly the ooids that you need). The problem is the time it takes to do favors... i believe there are many crafters that are willing to spend all their scrips to craft stuff, but very few gatheres that wanna gather an extra 11 hours each week to supply the crafters with ooids
    => the casual gatherer will just keep scrips for gear upgrades and the casual crafter is forced to do the same cause he cant get the materials to craft himself
    => dead market

    That's higher than average, me and others here attest to anywhere from 3-4 per favor on average. And even then, 5 favors is 75 minutes of gathering for one type of item. You still need the other item to trade them all for crafting materials. Assuming the same yields over 5 favors, 150 minutes (or 2 hours, 30 minutes) of gathering got you enough items for two material crafts. Two. Offhands use three, mainhand and body pieces need 4. The amount of time commitment the crafting items need is utterly ridiculous and they're not even unspoiled nodes on a 24-hour cycle.

    And that's just one red gathering token ._.

    To: Dev Team,

    I am utterly shocked at the lack of understanding of the CORE PROBLEM with the Red Scrip / Favor System.

    We didn't need more Red Scrips (although that's slightly helpful)! We needed a more FAIR, HIGHER RATE for Gathering Materials for Red Scrip Items.

    It takes FAR too long to gather everything you need, and the fact that people still can waste 15 MINUTES STRAIGHT and get NOTHING for their Favor Gathering is flat-out AWFUL GAME DESIGN.

    The worst part about this is that Yoshi P is still so beholden until World of WarCraft's Vertical Progression (and the speed of getting new Item Levels), that by the time most people finish finally getting their full sets, there'll be at least 2 - 3 more Item Level Increases?

    Please reconsider the fixes for the Favor / Red Scrips System. Thanks.

    We are planning to make adjustments to the duration of the Favors purchased with red scrips and the frequency of the Concealed Nodes spawn so that it'll become easier for everyone to participate. Once we have more information, we'll make further announcements. We appreciate your patience while we work on these adjustments.

    Favours don't need to last longer, they could even last less time, if concealed nodes had a 100% spawn rate.
