Here I was thinking I was doing ok. So what is "average" gear?
At this point? 190 would be the lowest gear I could personally even consider average, and I would say above average starts around the 195 level. This is assuming you aren't being hit with the ilvl reduction of pentamelded 150 accessories.

I would say Average is 192 for your primary class, with anywhere between 185 and 188 being average for your secondary. If you just play casually I would say go ahead and lower those Ilvls by 4 or 5 across the board, I personally consider those to be a fair representation of most people I have seen in server or df. However these account for being level 60 within the first 2 weeks of Alexander Normal.

So really, while you might be what I consider below average gear level for someone who was 60 when alex came out, if you hit 60 in the last 2-4 weeks you're doing quite well. All prespective and opinions. no facts. A majority of players might find what I think quite wrong. Circumstances being different, I might feel likewise. I in no way meant to insult your gear level, I was just using "below average" in a guesstimate based on observations sense.

Rofl why are you so angry my facts are true with i190+ and str acc you have as much hp as when We first did those dungeon.
Did We struggled that much for the first dungeon? Clearly no so yeah a healer that cant keep you alive on expert dungeon needs to get good that´s it.

Stop being so agressive there is no elitism behind it. We are just talking about expert dungeon.

I am personnally using a mix of pentameld and i210 slaying and never had any issue.
I find the underlined text quite contradictory to each other. While I have no problems in expert dungeons, bismark, ravana, or A1-4, the FACT remains that I know dozens of healers who do not appreciate STR tanks when they go into the DF. The reason they do not appreciate these STR tanks has been unanimously consistent among those I interact with. With a primary reason being they can find very little time to incorporate anything other than constant cast healing into their rotation, and the fact that it is just expected of them to tolerate it.

Maybe instead of this #gitgud bullshit, we can start #gitpolite trending, and tanks can once again start working WITH their healers, considering the fact that our lives are LITERALLY in their hands.

Insult? Nah take a heap more than that. Was curious. I wouldn't even consider myself casual. Something fun to pass the time while my little one naps.

Everything is rainbows and unicorns. Nothing is ever wrong and nobody should ever improve, even if they are objectively under-performing.
Effort stickers for all! (Even if the problem was likely a lack of effort!)

    Get real.
If a person is having trouble healing a dungeon and they don't have a real life disability or bad internet, then they aren't trying and really should gitgud.

Level-relevant gear is plentiful and cheap, thanks to quests. The difficulty curve for dungeons from start to endgame is extremely gentle. (If not practically flat)

    The same, if not more.
A tank in typical endgame gear atm + full str accessories has more hp than a tank in full library gear + full vit accessories

I think you're forgetting a few things, so let me remind you. For starters, having slightly more health and pulling twice as many mobs doesn't really correlate. I know you think you have a winner winner chicken dinner of logic here, but you don't. I know that when I personally go into a new at level dungeon, I pull each group at a time, to see if they have anything interesting. I don't yoloswag420blazeit into everything between start to boss. Why don't I do this? To learn what's what. So, that's how things went in at level gear.

Increasing your HP pool by 15% and the incoming damage you take by up to 200% yeah. Seems legit. STR LOGIC RAWR LOL!

Some people have bad internet. Some people have short attention spans. Some will under-perform. Guess what your options are?

    1: yoloswag420blazeit (douche)
    2: leave (douche)
3: replace them because they are bad (douche)
4: Work with them to achieve a resolution and clear the instance.

I can see how options 1-3 are real tempting for people like you. But maybe every once in a while try taking the road less traveled. I hear people get better when they see the hashtag gitgud. Must be why you use it. If you want to be assholes, go be asshole tanks in your own DF. I will go be awesome in mine and actually be beneficial to any poor healers I find, rather than just someone who is too good to stop being bad long enough to..... you guessed it. Gitgud. God seriously it's just the douchiest thing to say or type. Like ever.

Got to agree on some points, people have the right to be new and not feeling comfortable with their toolkit. Because when they reach 60, it'll be the first time for them where people won't always be overgeared and easy to heal. If you see it's your healer's first time, act like you're having a first timing healer. Doesn't matter if you're full STR or VIT (even if VIT can make things more comfortable), the point is, allow them to learn, give them advice and the instance will take like 5 minutes more, instead of half an hour if you rush like hell.
Or get out of the instance and try again in the DF (you're a tank, you tag quickly), or find a healer you trust.

those healers seriously need to get good then

divine seal, synastry, fairy being fairy, simply using cure II or Benefic II instead of cure 1/benefic1 spam, dungeons are so trivial in incoming damage input that my fairy can literally do the healing a lot of the time on my scholar.

i mean no offense but the only differenece between a str tank and a vit tank insofar as damage is concerned is the later can survive longer without being healed. That does not mean they take more damage, and Regen / Aspected Benefic / Fairy will still overwhelmingly handle a huge portion of required healing with proper CD use, and even WITHOUT cd use you wont have to dip out of cleric stance that often even with a str tank.

melded accessories for the win, in my opinion. Why would a tank ever want more than around 850-900 strength if he's just doing casual content? It's like training in mma to beat up a fifth grader.

Why does a car need 600HP when 85HP will also get me from A to B? More Power!!!!!!

Also like this reply, but the logic in me is really bothering me to comment haha. If we're talking cars 'hp' would better equate to fuel in a car, and actual horse power being correlated to str. Exp: A tank with less hp (or in this case fuel) would have to make many more pitstops for heals, but higher the str we'd be getting there faster with increased frequency of going empty on fuel.
