Anyone can hold hate, stay alive, and tank well in this game with a little bit of practice. What is so wrong with wanting to take our game to the next level?

The argument isn't that its necessary, because it isn't, but that we have the opportunity and capacity to become even more than just a tank. Just as healers can do the same and DPS can step up and buff their parties. A DRG has no need to use battle litany to improve the parties crit, BLM's have no need to use Apocatastasis to help the tank, SMN's don't need to use ressurection or throw a Physick on a party member in a pinch, and MNK's certainly don't have to use Mantra at critical times to aid the healer, but they are praised for doing these things. Tank's seem to be the only class where if you are competent and doing DPS while staying survivable and holding hate that they are still sometimes ridiculed for not being "tankey" enough.

Why?
