want the battle to go faster? that's the dpses problem, not the tanks
'blame the tank for everything' is real, wow... are you serious about this thread??

So, we're just talking about content where you don't really even need a tank right?
like when you are vastly overgeared for the dungeon and you can just run through it with no concern for any type of mechanics and no fear of dying?
perhaps I am ignorant. I am not at the point where I have the entire game on farm, I'm still working through content that is new to me at level 52. so maybe I just don't know how true high level play works in this game.
but why would I not use my Tank stance to tank with in at-level content? that's just something that doesn't make sense to me.
basically just to shave 2 minutes off of an overgeared DF run? or is there some other reason for a suggestion such as "if you use Tank Stance as a Tank you are not competent" or "any competent tank is always in DPS stance?" (btw, I don't have a "DPS" stance. I have a Tank Stance, and no stance. Darkside is always on regardless so that doesn't count)
do tanks not use their Tanking stance in Alexander and other HW endgame content?

If you are more experienced as a tank and know how to juggle survivability and damage, then do what you want, but telling that every tank should do this just because your impatient about full vit tanks causing the dungeon to take too long?
Oh blah blah your needs.
Tanks who want to either go full str or full vit or mix should do what they are comfortable with, because a tank that was told to wear full str and expect the healer to keep them up, but their health just cuts out in two or one shot, is just causing more problems that you are clearly overlooking. Where's that tank dpsing comic that explains this problem so much?

I am curious why OP did not remind TANKS to assign all attribute points in STR as well... ^^;
Well if you think of it from the base yea, but tanks still DO dmg with vit.Tank in str doing 1k dps, but sch needs to heal him alot so sch does 0 dps.
Compared to.Tank in vit doing 700 dps, but sch can throw out regens and fairy and do 500 dqs.
1k dps or 1200 dps. Which is preferred?
(rough estimates used as an example only)
He said he has multiple characters. Regardless, doesn't matter what his classes or experiences are. Telling others to play the way HE wants is ridiculous.
I am a STR tank. I have been hording STR accessories and pentamelds since 2.0 (ahh, the good ol' days of hypogriphskin accessoreies) when WAR literally NEEDED the STR to heal more with IB. But I always found a time where I would want some vitality. Exploring new content was always done in full pentamelds or VIT accessories.
With that said, if a dungeon run is slow or things aren't dying fast enough, it is the DPS' fault, not the tank. If an AoE pack is still alive after the tank's CDs are down? Look no further than your DPS. Not the healer, not the tank.
This dumb thread needs to get off my new posts page.
