"Not enough DPS? It's the tank's fault!"

Dps need to git gud, str tanks don't make big difference, yeah probably making it faster by 1 or 2 minutes than vit tanks.
Please kill this thread meow. Pointless superiority complex in text.
Love how OP doesn't say if they help contribute dps or not. If your runs take too long then you should dps as well. My biggest pet peeve is when in dungeons a scholar fights with Eos over who's going to overheal me first![]()
If you do use STR accessories and the DPS stance, for the love of Hydaelyn, use your proper defensive cooldowns. If you're so worried about cutting a few minutes off the dungeons, you should be expecting the healer to help DPS as well. We can't do that if you don't help us out a little.

I'm interested in seeing the actual science, but I suspect having 1000+ runs for the sake of statistics may be too much.
I myself generally run around in a mix of STR/VIT. Basically I swapped out all piece that had parry on them for STR ones on my DRK. It works fine for me, and had plenty of fast and smooth runs in current content. I think wether a tank uses STR accessories is probably one of the last variables in what makes a run go fast. Imho it's more about team dynamic: gear of each player, knowledge of/comfort with the content, skill at maximizing their job's potential (gosh, I still forget Phlebotomize often as my Dragoon xD), synergy with others, etc. If all of that is good, then I doubt the run will be more than one maybe two minutes faster.
Just my 2 cents.![]()

1- Each atack you Parry reduce dmg 20-25%
2- More VIT - Parry - Block the tank have more DPS i can Do as healer and surely my DPS will be more than a PLD/DRK with STR accesories - Also on warrior that 20% + healing helps HoTs a lot and let me... do more DPS.
3- If ur dungeons are taking forever u should check DPSs and urself before point the tank.
Give me my tanks full VIT/PARRY with high block rate shields and good CDs rotation, thank u![]()
Right but you're carrying them. Which still ultimately boils down to lack of dps to start with. Now in a perfect world everybody will be playing to there max however this is df. Demanding everyone play at an extreme level of proficiency is unreasonable. This is a game of many players of varying time skill and basic focus of play either to relax or play in a hardcore fashion. What I'm saying is just because you have a high dps tank doesn't automatically mean a faster run and tank strength gear isn't the deciding factor in dps output as a whole I've out dps'd warriors on my drk (while in mostly fending cause screw Marlboro pf groups) while they had full slaying simply because I knew better how and when I could drop stance. Not arguing strength isn't awesome I rock it all the time but it does not automatically equal faster or easier runs. This blanket statement is just bad for newer tanks which is in turn bad for df as a whole.
With good dps it shaves off a ton of time along with healer dps you can't blow right through either of the 2 experts nearly twice before your protect falls off. The problem is when you have new tanks who think dps is everything and neglect there actual job rile as a result. Full strength is awesome saying it's the only way to play is just asking for trouble. Would rather have a bad tank stacked with vit then a derp of a tank with less hp then the brd.
