A little help with jobs

Hi guys, I'm a Healer since I started playing FFXIV at patch 2.3... I switched constantly between SCH and WHM since I had a party and we were doing The Coil of Bahamut... Since my University started, I have little time to play, so I quit the group and now FFXIV I can't find a class to play... I'm tired of being at a DF or PF as a Healer... it's notthe same feeling... so... I'd like to know a little bit more about the classes (not the explanation from the wikis... I need REAL stuff about the classes) I played with almost every one of them but I couldn't level up them because I got bored in the process, so now I have just 1 lvl 60 Sch and no motivation to continue to play... Any tips of which class should I try to play?

I guess it really depends on what your trying to do. You want to be in melee now? You tend toward casters? DF queues an issue for you?

You tried almost all of them, didn't like the way they played, and are now bored. Either try the ones you haven't yet or take a break. People can try to sell you on a particular job until they're blue in the face, but at the end of the day nobody can make you enjoy the job or the leveling process that goes along with it.

The first suggestion is a summoner. It's playstyle is relatively unchanged from before but it now has a lot more burst and aoe damage. It also carries the same raid utility of scholar that you might enjoy and it's still the best solo class in the game.

Do you have any classes or games you've been playing that you like now? It's good if we know what you're looking for and playing now, rather than to throw out random ideas. There's also the possibility that the game is not the best fit for you now and that you might want something that's not an mmorpg until you finish school.

I like casters.... but I think I'm getting bored because I don't have time to level up anyone anymore...I liked BLM but with one hour a day it's almost impossible to level it up to 60 before 3.2 rsrsrs
| tryed summoner but I dunno why I can't fit those skills on my rotation and the other smn I know just complain and say nonsenses about the class... so I get bored after so long speeches about how useless he was, and at some mechanics people said to me at df "Hey, you will do de mechanic because you have a pet and smn has the worst dps between the role"
I like archers too... but I don't think it suits me... but I think Ranged dps is my type of character

Have you tried machinist yet?

SMN additionally is a really good DPS right now, whoever said its the worst dps in the role specifically had no idea what they are talking about.

hm... I'll try both... I need some gear for my SMN but it will be no prob... machinist is an RNG job... I'll get some guides and some things at the forums to figure it out the differences from 2.x and 3.x and machinist guides... my one is at level 53... but before GB's buff I was kicked from every dungeon because my DPS was "way too low" and after the 3rd dismiss I quit the job

There are no 2.x MCH guides, the job came with 3.0.

1 hour a day is enough time to do your leveling roulette. It's not the fastest but it will get you there.

Meanwhile, I wonder if, perhaps, it is not the jobs that are the issue but the content. If you're simply bored of doing dungeons and such, try some raids.

The problem is I get ilvl 160 gear from ex roulette and I need to get 170 to enter on alexander... so I need to get +/- 2000 laws to enter there, and this is like... 20 dgs after I get lvl 60 ( except for my smn that it's already 60)

But maybe you are right... I'll ger some ilv with my Scholar and try to enter at Alexander normal to see if I can get back my lust to heal ahahahhahahah
