    Ranger will have the same stigma as bard. Be a ranged physical class.

    The point is balance. If you introduce a job like bard 2.0 without the nerf in WD, what is the reason to bring a melee job who has to do positionals, avoid aoe and unable to attack the boss? Now Melee jobs as Nin and DRG have "support" abilities.

    A ranged class has more mobility and i don't see bards have any problem on this. I accept you don't like bard now but don't be selfish and try to change a new useful mechanic to let bards do the same damage than others dps. Adapt or move on.

    The concept of Thief and Ranger technically exist apart from Ninja and Bard. Look at the Moogles in the King Moggle Mog trial, there is a Bard AND a Ranger (there's also a dedicated Thief which uses a single dagger).

    Would bring a different way to play the rogue class. First of all no mudra system, this permits to enjoy the archetype to all not only jap or awsome connections. It is an iconic job (i see Thief more iconic than ninja actually) and i dont see why shouldnt be in thisgame when even the lore confirms there are thief. The iconic steal could be used to buff yourself or debuff enemies and stealth as a buff that let you use certain skills, for example:

    Stealspeed: would works like heavy trust for DRG, gives 15% att speed bonus and rear bonus damage

    Cloak and dagger: you gain the effect of vanish for 10 seconds. (it lets you use Sneak or trick attack and other jobs skills)

    Evisceration: Rear bonus 260 usable only under the effect of vanish

    Steal-TP: Steal 20% of missing tp

    Shadow step: Teleport right behind target and stun

    i could actually continue and write other 5 skills but i'll stop for now. I'm pretty sure that adding thief would make happy many FF fans

    Lol. Just lol. You said that rogue and lancer were totally different and now you are saying that are pretty similar. Every melee DPS in this game will have the 123 combo with 2 dots and a self buff. deal with that
