Running Royal Menagerie. "rescuing" a black mage every time the 'dive' mechanic happens and watching him fly off to his death. (this has become a joke among my friends and I XD they've kept track of how many times i've killed black mages this way, i think i'm up to a good dozen and a half times)
I usually have a more or less one size fits all rotation for mob pulls, which is asylum -> cure 1(if tank is hit) -> aero 3 -> holy plus maybe an assize, then I go back to healing as needed.
So I did the Vault a couple of days ago and at the 2nd pull I threw an asylum and the tank proceeded on tanking right outside the bubble. I say to myself, okay, it can happen, no biggie.
The next pull where assize became available again, tank proceeded on dodging my bubble again. At this point I'm slightly confused, as my asylum wasn't overlapping any aoes and the tank wasn't a leaf, so I'm sure he must have met other whm that use this. But then the tank proceeded on eating every aoe in sight and died.
If you can easily dodge my sparkly hp bubble but fail at dodging the damage dealing aoes, then I will throw the bubble on myself out of spite. Which I did, for the remainder of the fight. It's my bubble, you can't have any.
Run into a DPS yesterday that knew better than me how to do my job (while being lvl 35 WHM....)
THe tak kept taking 2 packs at a time and I could not keep him alive cause WHM leveling and not over stuffed here so that DPS kept being rude towards me. Just stop healing him ^^"
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
I enjoy the new sch. Granted I barely played HW sch, I only really touched it to get the job skills after getting my smn up to 60. So I don't have much to compare it to, but it's quickly becoming one of my favorite jobs despite all these doomsayers
I have developed a fondness for the Rescue cross skill.
Not for the troll factor mind you (although the temptation is great). No, I enjoy it because when I've got adds on me that the tank has failed to grab, I just wank them close and they see the error of their ways and proceed to grab them.
I love keeping my tanks on a short leash =)

I main a healer and sometimes it's especially painful to be another job and see the group's healer ignore some of the most basic stuff. Was on dragoon with a friend's tank. First run we have a healer who's not paying any attention to what's going on and fails to keep the tank alive even though he used all his major cooldowns and clemencied himself as much as he could. After the tank is raised, the healer neglects to protect him.
Second group we have a scholar who doesn't have a fairy out and has the strangest "rotation" of spamming succor and miasma when the tank is the only one getting hit. Soon enough she's out of MP and even when she has less than 20% MP left, she insist on broiling instead of keeping the tank alive. After the second 3-mob pull of almost-dying I ask them to summon a fairy. They do. My tank friend keeps the pulls small yet his HP keeps dropping dangerously low in every 3-mob pull and has to keep himself alive with clemency.
Both healers were DD mains leveling healer alts. I just don't know... How hard can it be to be a decent healer, seriously?
so...i've been trying to find a way to fill the spaces left by the skill "changes"...and in the weeks since SB i've been able to debate a lot.
I've put more raise macros in where my other skills were. Alas Poor Stoneskin 1/2 you're replaced by Raise Macro's that show how annoyed i am with Party Members that can't dodge...or die a lot...or go flying off....
