    Hahahahahaha, this is amazing. If I were in their shoes I would 100% respond to it and DPS properly - whether I had a legitimate reason for not doing so or not. I'm genuinely just laughing imagining that scene though; I like your way of thinking.

    Not even one commendation all night.

    Wtf
    I very seldom commend anyone for simply doing their role, as demeaning to your efforts as that may sound. Were I in your shoes, I'm obviously going to try and pick up the slack too, but I'm unlikely to give anyone any more recognition for "carrying" than I would for them trying and failing - the same way I wouldn't expect recognition for doing so myself. If said person was a mute or had an attitude then chances are that I'm not going to commend them. I'd honestly favour an upbeat party member who failed a lot, apologised for doing so and cheered the survivors on than someone who's only apparent quality in that specific run was simply playing with a level of competence.

    Anyways, my point is that everyone has their own personal way of determining what warrants their commendation. For me, skill plays a small part in that. Attitude and personality are most important to me, but if the entire team was essentially mute or of the "gg" variety then I'll probably commend the person who carried if I were to commend anyone at all.

    I said this to a Paladin who stayed in Sword Oath once, forcing me to try to keep up with healing him by using all my lustrates. He died, I swiftcast revive but in the end we wipe anyways.
    He respawns first but is already running ahead. He didn't give me a moment to get protect on everyone before hand as he keeps running out of range. When he got on my case I told him protect is kinda needed, he said if I'm a healer I should swiftcast it in that instance. I let him know that the swiftcast was used to revive him prior and it was still in cooldown. Buuuuut if they don't want out buffs, it's their problem.

    I'll never waste a Swiftcast on protecting a tank that wants to run off. Call me a shitty healer for it if you want. They can either stay within range for 2 seconds or they can go without it. Especially if the tank is getting lips and is letting aggro run wild. Chances are they don't get healed either.

    Soooo I trial roul'd into Levi storymode, last night... I haven't been in there without FC, and NOT in EX, in so long that I:

    a.) Forgot when to go trigger the barrier, even while I was right near it (because one of my FC mates insists on doing it, so I never bothered) :x;;
    b.) No one was getting the adds so I ended up tanking them. Regened myself so I can continue DPSing them. But then the SCH was the only one trying to help me at that point, so they ended up with one. by the end of the adds phase, I realized I had an aspected regen on myself, the SCH, and both the tanks.... effectively regening half the party + aspected helios regen (because solo healing EX habit).

    And then I remembered laughing about a recent post about a WHM regening an entire party rather than Medica II-ing.

    D: SO MUCH OVERHEAL. \o/
    (I had reason!? \o/ .....*commits seppuku* |||OTL)

    I have a 90% wipe rate on the first pull of Aurum Vale NM because by the time I figure out why I can't Shadowflare the tank needs a lustrate. Which of course, you don't have at 49. There is alwaysan awkward silence as the tank dies without a single spell going out from the healer.

    I went into a DF and the first thing the tank said was "You better use Cleric Stance." So I healed using Cleric Stance without DPS until the tank yelled at me to use Cleric Stance again. When I said I was he told me to DPS so I followed him around spamming Miasma 2 for the rest of the instance. I got both DPS coms.

    I ran Palace of the Dead the other day as healer, and got myself into a group with 3 dps at one of the deeper floors. We were already dealing with 2-3 mobs, then the third dps came running in with at least three more in tow. I deliberately let him die rather than healing him, because I was sure we wouldn't survive the whole pack without a proper tank and I didn't want them all to come after me instead. And because he was the only one with aggro on them, after his death they all returned to their spawn points and left the rest of us alone. I still consider it a sound tactical decision.

    When I have to step away for brief moments and someone dies. I make sure to stay in the same spot for up to 30 seconds, then blame lag lol.

    Healer Confessions

    I have a bad habit of letting DPS who try to off-tank or not FF tank's target die. I'll warn them once, then if they do it again, I let them die and say, "Now what did we learn?"
