I will flip my sh-shoot in the following situations:

1) Tank doesn't pull when everyone is very obviously ready for action, with deployed crit adlo + e4e and pre pull swiftcast popped (for shadow flare) AND ABOUT TO DISAPPEAR BECAUSE YOU DECIDED TO WAIT FOR CHRIST TO GIVE YOU SOME KIND OF SIGN

2) Mass pulling without cooldowns
2.1) Pulling without cooldowns because you're "saving them for boss"

3) Single target LITERALLY ANY JOB when tank is mass pulling (seriously, I do not CARE if you're brandishing a spear instead of a staff, there is no excuse to not aoe when the tank is pulling everything from here to china)

4) Uncooperative SMNs and BRDs, especially in Dun Scaith (and 24 mans in general tbqh). I do not care if you're primarily a DPS, what will your numbers mean if we wipe because I need to focus healing the tank and my HP is below what I need to rez the off healer? Please, learn and USE your toolkit. These days, a good healer isn't judged solely by their healing output but to their overall contribution to the execution of a duty - it should be the same for DPS and tank, even.

In between all those I admit I spend a significant part of my ptime fishing away my 30 min punishments

I've been running Creator normal for the past couple of days to gear my fresh level 60 jobs. Yesterday I was doing some runs as WHM and in A10 I was paired with a SCH who didn't DPS at all during the trash pulls. I asked them in party chat if they were planning to only heal during the boss fight. No answer. So I decided if they were only planning to heal, and don't even bother talking to me, I'll go full DPS then to try to cut some of their slack. Turned out even with 100% focus on only heals they couldn't keep people up and 2 people, including the MT, ended dying (plus one but it was their own fault eating avoidable AoEs) - they didn't even Adlo the tank before tank busters. Writing this here in confessions because I would have been able to keep those people alive, but just didn't want to carry another person's slack when they didn't even bother replying to me.

Similar thing happened in A12 too: as WHM again I was paired with an AST who didn't DPS at all, but wasn't able to heal either even during the add phase, so I had to drop my cleric there to heal the tanks so they wouldn't die. I pointed this out to the AST who proceeded to call me a d**k... In this case I ended up healing the party more than the AST who didn't enter Cleric Stance once.

(At some point of similar runs I just ended up leaving one group and logging out for the whole game for the rest of the day. I guess that's a confession in itself as well.)

I assume I'm main healer until proven otherwise. I've seen a lot of bad players lately.

Had a similar situation in A10N with a SCH who was standing around, not dpsing, and someone called him out on it. So I started to dps. Party member said we didn't need heals right then. We get to the boss and the SCH decides to be a jerk, not healing, and the party starts to take damage as I'm dpsing. "Do you need heals now?" he asked snidely. A10 is pretty easy to solo heal, so I tossed out some aoe heals and hots, focused the tank during tank buster, added more dots, and went back to healing, pretty sure before he did another cast.

Funny enough, I had this exactly same issue crop up in A12N. Both of us WHM and they doesn't turn on Cleric. I figured I'll go full DPS mode and occasionally spot heal. Not only did we wipe at like 75%, he decides it's all my fault. I found out later he spammed Cure II for practically everything and kept trying to cast Protect on the one person who died early due to fubbing a mechanic despite having the whole LB3 phase where we standing around doing nothing. Best part? They complained about MP issues. If they were new, I'd have been fine with it and wouldn't have DPS'd so hard to begin with. Nope. Nearly full 270 gear.

I love healing Aurum Vale, The Vault, and Dun Scaith. Especially when things get crazy.

Sometimes I like to fluid aura mobs to mess with the dps and tanks. Only sometimes.

I also give cleric stanced regens to dps that like standing in pretty colors. I tried right?

I'm a WHM main who took unhealthy pleasure in the knowledge that AST was an inefficient healer for raiding in early HW and now bitch and moan that it's been buffed so much.
I will probably feel the same about the 4.0 healer, if it exists, unless I decide to main it for Stormblood.

In Dun Scaith I did an aoe ewer by accident and didn't even care because I needed mana. I'd forgot I had an aoe royal road waiting and had intended to just throw the ewer on myself.
