If my healing partner is being a brat, I tend to let them fend for themselves and let them die if they can't have the foresight to heal themselves after taking a hit.

Example #1 - yesterday I was in Sephirot normal. There were some new people, the tank I was with was explaining the fight to the new people. SCH I was partnered with Adlo'd someone, popped E4E, and Deployed them while tank was explaining fight. Tank continued to explain fight because and then SCH popped Succor + Whispering Dawn then moved Eos into the middle, pulling aggro on the boss.

At that point in time I didn't bother to heal him at all if he was going to be impatient twat about things. He almost died to the Arena cutting attack + AoE in P1 but managed to survive, much to my chagrin.

Example #2 - In the 3.1X era, I Trial DR'd into Ifrit HM on AST and got partnered with a WHM. I popped into Nocturnal and fight progressed as normal. WHM refused to leave Cleric Stance AT ALL. Never bothered to Regen the MT and never bothered to heal. The only heal they actually used was Medica II after Hellfire. Call me bitter, but I actually positioned myself close to the WHM and hoped the multi stacked eruptions would kill them as I went on as business as usual healing the group.

I've had to set very specific rules for myself for DPS'ing on WHM in dungeons and whatnot. Like "Spam Holy 3-4 times, then turn off Cleric Stance immediately." I can't tell you the number of times I just plain blank out that I'm in Cleric Stance. Totally forget. Sometimes it takes me like...five or six Cure I/II's or worse, going "IS THE TANK TAKING INFINITE DAMAGE?! WHY IS HE NOT HEALED?!" before I realize that no...I'm just a moron.

I need to put my cleric stance in half of my scrreen to show me that I used it !

The worst is in whm trying to tetra save the tank and CS taking one second too long

One time, me and my FC friends were helping out a 100% new member through Sastasha. I had both SCH and WHM at 60 so I figured I'd give AST a try. My friend also started out his Marauder to level up with our newbie friend, so everything was sunshine and rainbows~

Until I totally spaced out and forgot I was healing, and just let my friend die in goddamn Sastasha while I was in Cleric Stance.

I still haven't lived that down Q_Q

Doing SV normal a couple days ago, i need to AFK for min 5 min to move my car so 3 pulls before the first boss i say in party " hey before we start the first boss i need to afk for 5min to move my car" we clear the 3 pulls and i type again "brb 5min" standing outside the boss room. i move my car and come back(took less than 5min) and the tank had pulled the boss and died! then tried to vote kick me! little did he know both the dps were friends from my FC (and in voice chat with me). they told me everything so when he pulled the boss i let him die and cured my Drg friend while he tanked it. Told him " next time don't try to vote kick me when i told you two damn times i needed 5 min!" ran the rest of the dungeon no issue even got his commendation. lol #slightlypassiveagressive

Tank takes a major hit. Near death. I start spamming heals. Tank dies. I was targeting myself at full health. Derp.

Pre-pull Adlo, Swiftcast shadowflare, rouse, cleric stance, bio 2, miasma, bio, bane, step in for miasma 2, step back...pick up the cat toy and play with the little attention hog who is otherwise threatening to chew on cords. Step out of Cleric stance and re-Adlo as needed.

Repeat on every pull except bosses. Two comms.

God, I love the tank changes.

More of a "general DF confession", but...
My lotting habits are determined by how well the run is going and the party is behaving

REALLY good (and/or sorry cause I F'ed up): Pass everything, no exceptions
Good: Greed anything that would be an upgrade for the appropriate job(s), pass everything else
Average: Greed everything (even if I can Need), regardless of if I'm going to use it or just hand it in for seals.
Bad (as in, multiple wipes due to people derping up basic stuff and/or needlessly starting shit): Need everything I can and Greed everything I can't, even if I won't be using it, simply because SCREW YOU GUYS!

...I think I might be in need of professional help. Just a little.
