Here's my question, though. If he's going to go so far as revamping the equipment system again (i.e. separating textures from color and separating color from stats) what will happen to the equipment we got as of 1.19? Will it become obsolete and dated again so we'll again need to replace it?

I think the item data swap was to implement the materia info in, hopefully they had already thought of the coloring system and it's in the item data already just being hidden or turned off for now.

Anyways 32 color variations of subligar.... this will be awesome!!!! it's like walking into Victoria Secret!!
