Honestly the "Customize gear toward the stats/function you like" is awesome but tying it to color wasn't.
Honestly the "Customize gear toward the stats/function you like" is awesome but tying it to color wasn't.
But now an issue arises of whether we get overpowered crafting gear with all the stats or probably-weak gear with all the possible stats but lower. Some recipes have up to 3-4 upgrade options and that would be a lot of items per color to add.
*Pours All-Purpose Dyes all over herself*
Do I have STR +6 yet? :<
I'm confused by the difference! Dyed gear almost always has at least 1 +something extra than undyed. Materia'd gear though I have no idea as I haven't been back in the saddle long enough to even do the starting quest.
At the very least, most new gear has just 1 slot for materia it seems to prevent over powered pieces. But the fact we even have materia makes the dyes = +some stats very redundant and restrictive in a sense. I'd like proof however that someone said that different dyes have different stats. If that were true I'd probably bust a few blood vessels trying to comprehend how that all-hands meeting went down.
Well at least on the high level robes one color give you a small amount of magic potency and the other color gives you MND for presumably healing potency.
But then the matching hats are switched, so the robe that gives mnd has a hat that gives int, and vice versa.
Well that's just stupid. Again, dyes should not dictate stats. Leave that to some sort of dark-matter anti materia instead of dyes. What the actual hell were they thinking of tying it directly to stats? D: Lordy!
Yeah, I am hoping this threads grabs some attention because if the game continues on this route, it isn't going to be pretty, or fun. >.>
No need for dramatics, since it's really the only poor thing about the patch imo
