Thanks for the polite reply but..
Are you really arguing that a broken dye system (and it really is kind of broken) that twists stats in ways that make very little sense and arbitrarily locks characters out of using pieces of gear with their chosen discipline based purely on colour, and then announcing it as the 'New, improved, all-purpose dye system!' was a move the game needed so desperately as to not either wait until it was working, find a way to mitigate the issues around, or at least explain properly?
I do sort of see where you're coming from, in that the changes were necessary in order to accommodate the implementation of materia and there wasn't time to get the systems it would effect in shape to release alongside, but this has been terribly poorly handled. Assuming Reinhart's post missed nothing important (hurry up please, rep's >.>) I'm beginning to feel that the system's implementation at this point makes some measure of sense. But they could have explained a lot better, and they could have made what they implemented a lot less annoying to bear with in the meanwhile (IE: no colour-based discipline-locks on otherwise identical equipment).
Sorry, that came off rather more combative and incoherent than I'd have liked and I'm not completely sure how to fix it. I must be getting tired.
