i loooove long hair haircuts but sadly i have to avoid them most of the time cuz of this! ;_;






i know its a very tiny detail but this game cares so much about little details which makes it awesome... and the long hair clipping through almost everything is really sad ;_; wish it gets fixed so we can wear our hair long or short without worrying its gonna stick out of our gear >_<

The reason given was that the Japanese players were asked whether they would like all clipping issues resolved or if they would like new glamours (including hairstyles). Presumably the developers would have to spend a huge amount of time fixing clipping and this would be at the expense of new content.

The players chose new content over fixing the issues, leading to the current situation where hairstyles & clothing are numerous but with clipping. Had the other route been chosen you may have not had long hair as a choice anyway.

Also my hairstyle clips over any high collar chest piece or robe, maybe new shorter hairstyle should be introduced that will resolve both clippings and variety of looks.

I think we should have been asked as well....considering we all are customers and should be part of every decision if jp are.

The jp made the wrong decision then, because fixing whats wrong should always be #1, before adding more problems.

I LOVE hairstyles dont get me wong the more the merrier lol!!! but again so many qol things have been here since day 1, released that way, this inlcuded, it really really makes the game look amateurish.

Many other things like simple qol improvements could be solved with player made addons, even that has not happened so they let the game sit with errors, clipping on every piece o gear (lol wow)... and cumbersome aspects which is shameful.

I was thinking more along the lines of "we wouldn't have had so many new things since 2.x" rather than having things cut out; if you see what I mean. A lot of the hairstyles we have today, as in 1st September 2015, were added as patch content and if they had decided to go with the 'low new content but no clipping' idea we might not have gotten them. =)

It is a common issue brought up on this forum that unless the Japanese players complain about something then nothing will be done. Personally. I don't buy into that because I think changes have been NA/EU led in the past. However, others are adamant thar unless JPN players say something, English players are not heard.

Part of me just wishes that for NEW hairstyles and glamours, they sorted it out and we had less clipping. The question was posed to the playerbase a long time ago...and while back then, it was true people wanted options>than perfect non-clipping looks, the reality is, I think most players assumed that was a temporary compromise. By now, we have enough hair and makeup options, that it really would be okay to take the time and make sure clipping doesn't happen....or at least design more hair options that are short in back etc.

I have to agree.. My sword looks like it's cutting my tail off, and my ponytail goes through most hoods and the like.
