    More PvP maps in the future

    Just got done having a blast this weekend doing some PvP i'm glad SE decided to take Seal Rock into the direction that they did. Was wondering what kind of maps we could expect in the future, I have some suggestions:
    -Capture the flag (make it like nodes you have to carry back to a capture point)
    -A defeat the lord at the end of the castle while attacking against the other 2 grand companies (castle destroying, bombarding, traps, etc)

    Just some late night thinking, i'm an old WoW PvPer but i've lost all interest in WoW both PvE and PvP. Just wanting to do BGs on this game for days with my friends anymore input from other people would be great!

    Capture the flag would be great, and since its a game hopefully they will lift the bloody GC restrictions

    I think we're well overdue a non-DF instance, where people can go practice, duel, team zerg, or just have fun. I know the playerbase in general would throw their rattles out if XIV went openworld, but I'd love to see a couple of areas the size of say, Coerth West, where we could just zone in and PvP for giggles. Perhaps a few Wolf marks for the first few kills on each opponent as a reward, (capped per day, to stop farming/trading) but I think most PvP-minded people would go there just to have something PvP-orientated to do while waiting for the Duty Finder to kick over. Let's face it, off-peak, that wait can be insane.

    My fondest memories of MMO PvP was playing parameter defence for our Igg forts in Aion. Now Aion really struggled, due to the lower GCD and the shoddy engine, but to have an area even vaguely similar in this would make my day. Zone in with some friends, go on the prowl, cap a few temporary forts, or something. Prattle about and see how much mess we can get ourselves into and out of.

    Personally, I think a Defense game would be great. Basically one team is randomly chosen to defend a fort, and can use defenses and the like while the other two teams compete to invade. The defending team would have to prevent invasion beyond a certain point while invading teams would need want to breach that point to win. Alternatively, the same map could be like a capture the flag map, but let's say you're collecting Allagan Artifacts. You have to invade the other team's forts, steal an artifact, and bring it back home. Once home, Mammets begin extracting data from it, but other teams can steal it back. Also, whoever has the artifact has a carrying animation/status and has to drop the thing to attack.

    I'd like a game with no pve objectives but offers 1 v 1, 2 v 2 scenarios. If the pve objectives have to stay they could add enclosed node capture points, where only 3 or 4 per gc can enter or something and its a fight to the death.

    A battle arena like from ff7 but open world so we can watch

    But in all seriousness none of this would happen.

    Something like capture a flag will be nice. It's like you lift a Vundu Totem to your place and get point or something.

    I'd love to see new maps and objectives. But part of me fears for it, as Seal Rock's KotH style rules is hard enough for people to grasp. So often I see people just running off to fight when fighting isn't the main objective.

    Right? Some nights the Flames alliance chat is flooded with crap like "STOP CHASING" "STOP FIGHTING ADDER" "LEAVE MAEL ALONE" "FALL BACK AND DEFEND" "WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING" "GG WE LOSE"

    Makes me wonder if people ignore it or if they go in with /a turned off...

    While you're right, it sucks when that few people every match run off, chase, and dye.... You'd be amazed how effective it is when then whole alliances forsakes holding spots in place of destroying everyone. Usually it's the sign of a Pre-made. They'll try to get as many people to High or Fever as possible at the start, then they'll not even worry about points, because they're just gonna pick them up while wrecking the other team anyway. Bear in mind, it has to be organized if a team is going to do this.
