I'm on a larger server and while I was playing alot still could not get anyone to join my of groups so I doubt server size is the issue. It's good that it's not in DF, so that new players are forced to do some research on it -- how to unlock it and (hopefully) why it's not in DF. If it was in DF then we'd have droves of new players on the forums begging for savage to be nerfed to make DF a viable option.
And yeah... 99.99% chance that your DF group wouldn't make it past Faust. You wouldn't get much if any experience on an actual boss.
Most content eventually makes it to DF, once it's viable for it. Not sure if Alex savage will though...
edit: if you have issues with PFing stuff, and that's your only option, you might want to consider moving to a larger server.
If folk aren't joining your practice parties it's because you're doing it wrong by not listing them as clears, you'll still get 7 others who don't have a clue what to do anyway that's how Faerie PF works.

Thread:
I wanna wipe for hours and disband while we try to clear first phase of ravana ex than find a static/premade to clear it
You seen how awful people are in pugs? You wanna bring that to ravana ex?
You still can make your premades away from DF if you choose so. Why are you trying to deny OP an option to play the game at his own pace?

Join a better FC or server is all I can recommend.
People post in party finder all the time on my server looking for temp replacements for people who didn't show for their static night.

Gilgamesh constantly has savage progression PF groups. Not all are statics looking for fill-ins either. If you can't commit to a static, high pop servers are really your best option.
Df has no chance, people will come to forum begging for nerf.

The Savage loot system wouldn't really lend itself well to DF either (assuming you could even get a win) because of the less loot for players that have already downed the floor for that week limit (though you still get tokens). That is why they added the normal/savage split in the first place, for those who wanted to experience the content but couldn't dedicate themselves to a static.
