It seems with the recent changes lancer has been given a heavy dose of piety, how does piety effect lancer? Is this something that maybe will effect the Dragoon Job?
Anyone know or could a Rep pass this onto the dev team for some insight please

Dragoon will no doubt use mp for its skills.
Yea, I was at LNC guild and all the convert traits (you get from Guild Marks) were like INT, PIE, etc, which seem all mage stats to me. Especially considering you are losing STR, DEX, etc, in those cases.
well those are meant to allow you to convert stats from your lancer to better builds for magic classes. its a bit different now post patch but they still allow you to have a better magic class, would be nice though if you where able to get the ones you want in your own guild though.
The whole purpose of those convert stats are to change your class (job in the future) to something else. If you level up LNC to max and had a ton of strength and vitality, that doesn't help you on a mage class. If you leveled up you would undoubtedly have a lot of Guild Marks (I hvae 68,000 GM on my glad for instance), so you use them to reallocate your points so you can go from being a melee to a mage. Likewise the mage guilds have INT going to VIT and things like that.
I'm not sure how this will work in 1.19 since we no longer have stat allocation but I had heard that in the next patch or two we are getting the point allocation system back.
EDIT: WoW-Super-Ninja'erd
As stated previously, DRG will likely have some MP use. It could also be related to how well debuffs stick (Moonrise, for example). If that's the case, you can expect LNC to gain more debuff-like abilities in the future. I'm not sure if this how PTY works at the moment yet, guess it's time to whip out the ol' parser and see what we can find.
