SMN/SCH get less FATE XP than other jobs

This may be known by all,but I could not find another thread on the subject.

My BRD and BLM get nearly double the XP for a gold rating on the same FATEs at the same levels as does my SMN. I am glad I chose to level my SMN first so used mainly quests. The monetary and GC rewards are the exact same, just the XP is wrong.

What level is this? Is it with level sync on, in or out of a party, etc? I want to help test this for myself (since I have the class at 50 still) and want to know what conditions if any make this true.

This has been from as low a level as I can recall, but has become more apparent between 40 and 50 running in Coerthas, Mor Dhona and North Thanalan. I have been trying to decide if I prefer to play BLM or SMN so I leveled up both to 50. I ran FATEs in the XP grab madhouse of North Thanalan and saw my same level BLM get a huge amount more experience than my same level SMN and both were receiving gold ratings. I get the same gil with either. I get the same GC seals with either. The XP is drastically lower on the SMN. I have also found that SCH gets the low XP even with a gold rating. It is likely related to SMN/SCH being pet classes and the XP reduced to remove the pet's share of XP. Running the FATE without the pet gives the same results, gold rating on FATE but much reduced XP with SMN/SCH so the pet is not siphoning off XP.

It shouldn't. I just tested this and my PLD and SCH get the same exp.

Question for you, is your Summoner/SCH your highest level class? If so then the other two classes are receiving the armory bonus exp.

If you are leveling it first you aren't getting the armory bonus, so...

This, I checked your profile and SMN is your highest level job so it doesn't get the Armory bonus.

All your classes / jobs that are under level 50 will get a 100% XP bonus and when you are level 50 to 60, they will get a 50% XP bonus as long as they aren't you highest level class. In other words all the class / jobs you level after your first will get extra bonus XP. Below is a description of Armory Bonus:

    Armory Bonus

The Armory Bonus is additional experience granted to any combat class you have that is NOT your highest level class. From levels 1-49, you receive +100% additional experience for secondary classes that are lower level than your highest level character. At level 50, this bonus decreases to only 50%.

The bonus applies to kills, FATEs and leves. The amount of experience granted has nothing to do with the distance in levels from your highest class.
Additionally, the +10% experience from The Heat of Battle II (FC buff) - will stack on top of this buff to provide an additional 10% experience. So the Armory bonus is 110% (armory) + 10% (fc buff) instead of just 100%, while the FC buff is active. This is different from the other bonuses, as they do not receive additional experience from the FC buff.

The Armory Bonus, as previously mentioned - does not apply to non-combat classes such as gatherers & crafters.

    Examples:
Your highest level combat class is 20. You are playing as that class. You receive no armory bonus.
Your highest level combat class is 20. You are playing as a second combat class that is less than level 20. You are now receiving armory bonus exp.
Your highest level combat class is 20. You are playing a second combat class that is also level 20. You receive no armory bonus.

Tanking is a job, DPSing is a science and Healing is an art.
If the Tank dies, it's the Healer's fault. If the Healer dies, it's the Tank's fault. If the DPS dies, it's their own damn fault.

This is because every class that isn't your highest class gets double XP bonus. XD It's been this way forever. So, yeah, if your BRD and BLM are lower than your SMN, they'll get double XP.
