[Red Mage and Samurai Role Poll inside] What would you like the new (hinted) jobs be?

What would you like to see the roles for red mage and samurai be? I know someone else made a straw poll for this, but the reason I made this one is because it couldn't messed up on how the choices is set up, not to bash the other thread or the OP of the other thread, but the way that was, anyone could hit every options with this it's 2 polls one for each job

For Red Mage, I voted for Melee Mage DPS. To me, that is what encapsulates everything about the job. It is meant to be the jack-of-all-trades, master of none type of mage job. It has been created that way since time immemorial ever since the first Final Fantasy and my personal preference on its stance. I feel like this was ruined in Final Fantasy XI when Abyssea hit. Let's bring it back to its roots!

For Samurai, I voted for it to be a Tank. Why? Because they usually were able to take a lot of damage, have a huge HP pool and also able to hold their own in damage. (Although FFV's version was seriously broken thanks to Giltoss >_>) I would say making them a parry aspected tank would be pretty awesome. Either that or make them an evasion damage tank.

What about Blue Mage?

Every game I seen Blue Mage in was DPS, the healing is not enough to be a healer job, and the defense was not enough to be a tank. But if you want a poll I can make one.

Blue Mages can be Healers in FFXIV if Yoshi explores the White Wind/Mighty Guard/Off-Guard skillset from the previous FFs.

This is precisly WHY it needs to be a DPS job, as tired of having sword job being tank. even warrior, with a large great Axe is a tank job. Tho they do beastly damage, can you imagine if they were a Pure DPS job? like FFXi?
