MNK question new player

Hi everyone I'm fairly new to the game and I just had two questions about the job I picked (Monk).

Firstly I see that MNK uses two abilities from the lancer tree I think its Blood for Blood and invigorate, do I need to get to the corresponding lancer levels in order to unlock these for monk?

Also, since I am level 49 now about to push into the newer content, am I going to be expected to already have those abilities for the leveling dungeons or can I just put off leveling the lancer until I start doing more end game stuff?

You do need to get Lancer to those levels (22 for Invigorate and 34 for Blood for Blood). I would recommend getting that done now, as they can have noticeable impact on your performance. Invigorate in particular is quite useful for AoE situations in dungeons, which you'll be doing a lot of as you level to 60.

Okay I will go do that, is leveling sped up at all when your going through a new class?

Yes, you get a 100% exp bonus up to level 50 if you have another class already at lvl 50, and a bonus of 50% exp up to lvl 60 if you have another class already at 60.

Exactly this, so if your MNK is 49, push it to 50 before leveling up LNC some more.
