Which healer would you recommend?

Hello, I've decided I wanted to go back to being a healer to help my FC and cause I'm oddly finding it much more fun now than I use to. I was just wondering which healer would you guys recommend? Currently I have Whm at 50, Sch at 60 (cause of Smn, haven't done Sch quests though) and Ast at 52. I enjoyed Ast very much and loved the card system it has.

Mostly I understand that a healer has to heal and dps at the same time and I've never been very good at it since the majority of my healing experience comes from WoW where that was frowned upon except for certain classes that had abilities that allowed one to convert damage dealt to enemies into healing for the team.

Anyway, which healer do you guys recommend overall or should I stay Ast and keep enjoying it?

Well, if you're not into DPSing I would stick with AST.

Ok, I'll stay Ast, and yeah, even back when I first started healing, I was not big on dpsing and healing and ended go full dps since I couldn't handle the duality. With Ast I was greatly loving the idea of instead of being a Healer/Dps I was now a Healer/support which fit me way better and allowed me to keep the buffs and heals rolling without feeling an ounce of stress. I was just worried since there seems to be negativity associated with Ast which made me a bit hesitant in committing to it and thus coming here to ask.

AST was brought much more in line this week due to the buffs they got, so you should see that negativity go away.

I'd probably get some stance-dancing practice in anyway, as well as go ahead and muscle through your SCH quests. Focusing on AST for gearing and leveling is really laudable, but having a SCH in your back pocket at 60 can always come in handy when your friends want to run Experts (for Eso tomes you can put towards your AST gear). You'll get practice healing higher level content that way, and a little law healer gear while you're rounding out your Eso set can be used for all three healer classes.

AST has basically become the go-to healer for those who only want to play one of them, since double scholar is depressing and double white mage is overheal city. If you're only going to level one healer, I definitely say AST.

Level and play all at 60. Only you can decide.

I have SCH at 60 but my main is AST at 60 too, basically AST because.. It's more fun, and it's not depressive anymore to be like.. a SCH in a team, and see that you are paired with another SCH.
Especially after the update both stances are very good.
AST can dps a bit, though worse than 2 other healers, but because of mana problems you won't be able to DPS much. Still, i would say try to do it time by time, it's good and makes everything faster.
I actually stance dance A LOT, especially in ex roulette, etc. And even though AST has to be more careful with dpsing and MP than other healers, it's still good to learn it and practise a bit
