Nice OP, I lol'd

Nice thread.
Accepting defeat ??I think you may be mistaken. The people who complained about something in the past don't necessarily accept whatever the change was. Many have just given up on voicing their opionin because they know their words are falling on deaf ears.
There are still many things that I disliked about previous patches, and I still dislike them. But why bother complaining? It's not going to change anything.
Giving up =/= acceptance
Giving up is a form of acceptance.
You accepted that some things can't change and moved on (and we wouldn't have 2.0 incoming fi they had deaf ears).
If giving up wasn't a form of acceptance, we'd suicide ourselves at any sign of issues we can't do anything about in life.

LOL! Awesome! Someone please bump this thread after every patch. It'll be a good reminder.
Google Kwestro
wow allot of catches in this troll net. is this a suck up... i mean suck it up thread?
Not trying to be rude when i say this , just talking from personal experiences.
This is a video game from our view point also see it as a community, please do not compare it to the role of work for us.
All that said, i thought 1.19 was an amazing patch for the game and it can only get better from now on.

The OP is pretty much right on the money with this, people who don't see it are in heavy denial.
I guess I can partially agree with this, aside from the suicide remark (um.. what? lol).Giving up is a form of acceptance.

However, there's a difference between accepting a change and accepting the fact that there's nothing you can do about it. An example would be the changes to the leveling curve for battle classes.
Personally, I can't understand why so many people like the curve the way it is now. Why is it so important to be able to get a class 1-50 within 24 hours of game play? Is this not an RPG? Every RPG is a grind, the difference is that some disguise it better than others. Yet, some would still opt to remove the grind entirely instead of having an enjoyable one. The work (for lack of better word) to get capped level is no longer an accomplishment, now it's a requirement.
This is just one thing that I don't necessarily accept. Or rather, was forced to accept it right off the bat. I really had no choice, and it doesn't matter what I say or what feedback I give to the devs, I'm sure it won't matter. They've made their decision and that's it. 5 years down the road ask me about this system again and I guarantee you I still won't accept or agree with it.
So no, I don't accept it. I accept the fact that there's nothing I can do to change it. For some these may seem to be one and the same. It just depends on how you look at it.

Lol, great thread. A good approach with some graphic illustration for presentation to go with it, very professional! ^_^ b <thumbs up>
This rises the question for developers/ community, is the relationship between the two getting two close? Not all relationships work out and it's usually business before pleasure. What is Final Fantasy XIV anyway, an ambitious project by the DEV/SE or FFXI (FF Community in general) for the DEV/SE or FFXI (FF Community in general)?

I always remembered that adventure is proceeded by exploration which is encouraged by mystery that's encouraged by a conflict. We all know Final Fantasies have conflicts which always inspire rewards. Knowing this comes through the gate by the creativity of the FF-DEV team which should and must be thinking up new systems and idea of their own already (while staying true to the Final Fantasy series) besides taking suggestions (some) from the community.
I like the development of lore and the SE needs to create more story line and quest without handing it all over on a silver plate. Let us discover it and wonder how much more it is out there.
Don't you think they should stay true to design or just work off the negatives/ positives of the consumer reaction? I feel like if the MMO holds mysterious atmosphere, there's more adventure. Many games are successful whether or not it's approved by the public/ fans. It's just extensively tested for bugs, glitches and consistent UI function.
Angry players will expect the worse all the time. If they know what is coming (but its not here yet), they'll feel nothing towards the game. The forums in general consist only on a wish-list and not everything should inspire the FF-DEV team (but I would REALLY like sessions when they do ASK).
Chocobo armor?- YES!
Moogle Avatar/Primal?- Maybe...
More mini-quest? Yes, please!
Dragoon + Wyverns? NO!

Lol, this came to mind when first reading this thread.
Still, I think the OP's intentions go against the purpose of the forums. The whole reason we're here is to give feedback. I'm fairly sure everyone is familiar with the 5 stages of grief concept. But why post it? How does this contribute to the future of the game in any way? It's basically just a "QQers stop whining thread". While all of us feel this way at one point or another (I've posted my fair share of "stop QQing" comments as well), it's nothing new and isn't productive.
