Suggestion for holding hands emote.

Hey guys I've been thinking about this for a while and I'm not sure if its possible but its the thought that counts.

You probably have a loved one or a close friend that you play with alot and even afk with in certain areas in eorzea. Like someone mentioned a leaning to a wall emote a while back wouldnt it be awesome to have a holding hands emote with someone you care about? I'm not even sure if it can be made possible. Holding hands doesnt always have to be compared automaticly to partner and love. Thats a western world thing we all know holding hands its just a bond in some cultures aswell and nothing more.

Anywho I would love to see that if it can be made possible. Not sure if it can tho.

The problem is they still haven't made multi person emotes, which makes things like /brofist, /hug, /embrace, etc. look a bit silly. They need to implement that system first before adding more multi person emotes.

Destiny 2 comes to mind, where one player initiates the emote and goes into a small animation to prompt other players to engage in the emote, usually a little wave, as if to say "come over here". There is also a small, glowy blue area which designates where the other player(s) must stand. Once they do, they hold a button, and this locks them into whatever animation the emote uses. If it's a high-five, it's a high-five, and it looks pretty natural.

I wish FFXIV did something like that.

Thing is, height and race aren't a problem in Destiny 2, but I can see that being a bit of an issue in FFXIV, were they to implement something like that. I suppose they'd have to account for it somehow.

A hold hands emote would be nice, but you also might need to stand incredibly close for it to look right like with /embrace and /hug .

They could try to make it a persistent emote though.

I'm ok with a persistant emote. I understand that a lalafell would have to raise their hand a bit more up than everyone else but I'm seeing i infront of me vision wise if its capable im not sure.

I am still waiting for a /kiss emote. Yes, you have the option to kiss the character that you will be taking the Eternal Bond with. But why just get one kiss? It should be something you can do when you and your partner want.

YES, this! why can't we have a/kiss emote for EB partners?

That would be great but I think they'll never do sync emotes.

The problem with synched emotes is that characters of vastly different sizes will just look really weird doing it. Lalafells are the obvious outlier, but imagine a Viera and a Miqo'te, or a Roe and a Midlander, or a male and female Au Ra, trying to high five. It's really awkward.
