Do you give advice to other (random) crafters?

Yesterday I was checking in on my retainers and happened to notice someone there levelling blacksmithing so I peeked at what he was doing for a bit. He was doing Great Strides then touch (I assume since you can't see that part) until he (presumably) ran out of cp then he would advance it. It all expectedly came out NQ so I rather imagine he was not getting much bang for his buck xp wise. Anyway I thought about sending him a quick whisper suggesting a better rotation that would net him faster xp so he would level more quickly and use less mats but I wasn't sure if that was a good idea. I ended up not whispering him but it has been bugging me since. I am the kind of person if I am doing something in a way that makes the goal I am trying to accomplish more difficult I would love someone to tell me (either a game thing or a rl thing) "Hey if you do abc instead of xyz you will have way better results." So... do you guys offer tips or just mind your own business?

I like to offer help when I can. I had someone message me out of the blue asking if they could pay me to craft their GC turn-ins for them if they supplied the mats. Instead I offered as much help as I could with a good rotation so they could shoot for HQ themselves, then offered to make the items if it didn't work out. I never heard back, so I imagine the advice was helpful. ^^

I've also helped a couple FC mates improve their post-50 rotations, though that's a bit different.

I'm more likely to just throw HQ gear at random people if it helps them or they don't have the right/level appropriate accessories/gear.

I'm afraid he asked someone else.

I always try to help if I see something completely off. I first chat to see how they respond, then I try to suggest things.

It also goes the other way around. I just ask crafters I know that are in the game way longer than I for advice. I don't see why one would keep stuff that can help someone for themselves.

Sometimes if they are nice enough. I often will happily make them gear. I try to reserve my gear give aways to the long list of people I can do so for in my FC. For better or worse I already have too many in my FC to mentor and assist. We have 100-200 active members out of our 483 total in my FC. And I'm the lead crafter for the FC and my crafting LS. I do help friends outside the FC though (and they usually become part of my LS to participate in our discussions).

Yes, all the time. I even give some of them gear and other trinkets. I always figure they will help me out sometime in the future. I always post useful advice in my blog as well

I do this to random LS/FC members/FL people I see crafting if they could do with the improvements. Usually this ends up with them asking for advice. I have found some crafters take offense when you offer unsolicited advice, so I start off with a piece of gear lol.
